Pussy Cat Dolls

I got a call from my COO that he had an extra ticket to see Pussycat Dolls in Sunway Lagoon. They weren’t ordinary tickets they were VIP tickets. Oh… I already could see myself next to Nicole or Melody as she serenades me with ‘Stickwitu’…. Licking back to reality. The tickets were passed to me via a blank envelope from Reshmonu’s people. Yes Reshmonu and me are close after the World Cup Party.

I was picked up from the office and we headed to Sunway. Surprisingly there were allot of kids in the concert. Young kids, I felt old being there. Most of them were in their skimpy beachwear. What amazed me was they could afford the tickets. Children these days are spoiled. Ticket prize was RM200 and 100, when I was at their age I don’t think I was allowed to attend such thing nor do I think I could afford the ticket. At that very moment I knew how Datuk Khalid feels

I came to the concert as 2 people, one as a music critic and another as a pervert. I’d be lying to you if I didn’t mention the other. The concert began with 2 Hitz fm dj trying to warm up the crowd. Knowing that there were kids in the crowd the has some really sexy games which I really deemed lewd for kids. Reshmonu opened up for the show with 2-brand songs form his new album, which should come out in November.

The show began with their latest hit Buttons. The girls could shake what God gave them I swear Nicole winked at me when she began her show. The show had it all dancing, sexy-ness and pyro. The re was no lip sync-ing done it was all 100% them. I cant elaborate more; you just had to be there to experience the lustrous Pussycat Dolls. After the concert I finally saw them as a gifted musician but not just another spice girls wannabe. Please note I’ve got Pictures of the show but I’ve got videos…..

Diary: 2 Movies and a Love Seat

This weekend most of my plans were postponed. I finally went and saw Pirate of the Caribbean’s 2. The content team had a organised a dinner and a movie last Wednesday. We had dinner at San Francisco Steak House at Damansara Intan. It was my first time at this establishment. I was expecting a fine dining experience but in return what I got what was a nice place where there were murals on the walls. It was pictures of San Francisco culture. The ambience was quite pristine with waiters eager to serve you hand and foot. The foot was exquisite; I had a dish called the cowboy steak, which was steak with baked beans, sausages (Mini cocktail) and a fried egg. Others has salmon steak, chicken with mushroom sauce. The dishes were very nice.

After dinner we headed to 1 Utama’s new wing. We had so much time to spare so we played some foosball with the girls. The movie was all I expected it to be. Swash-buckling to the very end. Oh Captain Jack Sparrow how I envy your miss-adventures. A must watch in my book.

The weekend saw me heading to a new place called The Curve at Damansara. The place is fairly new with not allot of shops open yet the atmosphere of the place was quite lively. The main attraction of the place would definitely be the place called ‘The Street” where it has lots of restaurants and small shops selling varieties of stuff from mugs to tashmina’s and I must say it was quite a reasonable price. I headed down to the next building where the new Cathay cinema was located. The whole building is empty except for the cinema space it has 10 screens for your viewing pleasure. The place hints ‘just for couple’ as when u hit to the concession stand there are lovers combo and such. In the cinema itself most of the seats are love seats for couple I believe to have their ‘space’

I watched the Lake House with a lady friend that day. I must say the movie is for the mature at mind. The Reeves Bullock combination was amazing… you felt the effect of the chemistry pass through the fabric of the cinema. I wont give much away but I must say a must watch in my books. You will definitely find a copy of it in my DVD collection.

Sunday I attended mass at St John’s I slept through mass as Father Amalanathan was speaking to himself. There was an incident where someone I knew tried to sneak pass me in church unnoticed. Shame on you. After mass I headed home and I had to start with my ironing early as in the evening I was to be at My Aunts place in Cheras for a family potluck. Oh how much I despise those people. But it was nice that I got to meet up Priya. It’s been awhile since I meet up with her and we caught up with good times.

Diary: Weekends Happening

The week was filled with fun and laughter... great right. I was supposed to meet ‘someone’ to watch Pirates of the Caribbean but I chickened out. But I got this surprising SMS from Shari asking me if I was free or not. Straight away I only could think of 2 scenarios she was calling me out 1. Cause she was in trouble; 2. She just needs the company. Both ways I was down to help her. We met at 2.30pm at Midvalley. It was so nice to see her. She looks much more hot now. We had lunch at Chillies where she bought (Finally…). We exchanged stories and we laughed our heads off. Its been a long time since I had this much of fun.

After Chillies I decided to head to MPH to get a new name cardholder as my previous one is all filled up. Along the way we noticed MNG was having a 70% sale. What hip and modern women would pass up a MNG sale? I haven’t met one yet anyway. My plan was to seduce Shari to get something from MNG but we both decided to play the same game. She seduced me to get some stuff from Zara. Zara had a further mark down sale, which was too hard to pass up. Shari got 2 sexy outfits to complement her from two of this outlets and I got 2 sweaters for myself from Zara. I enjoyed being the evil demon seducing Shari to spend all her money… hahahaha

Sunday saw the gathering of the Patrick’s at Mama’s place. It was a potluck session and everyone brought a dish. Mum made nasi briyani and pork curry. Aunt Bella made her famous prawn sambal; Annie tried my mum’s recipe of daging paprika, which was quite good, Uncle Tony did the chicken curry and some yong tau fu. But the highlight of the potluck was Auntie Pats mee-hoon goring. When we were young (nephew and nieces), Auntie Pat used to make the dish for breakfast. It was our favourite dish of all time. Now she hardly makes it. The party was to celebrate Alex farewell and Mitchelle birthday. We had a cake for tea.

Lil mike was there, apparently he fell again and his mouth had a deep cut. He came around showing his blister and trying to get as much attention he could get. He played with Jonathan till Uncle Tony left then kept showing his puppy dogface saying nobody wants to play with him. So I sat next to him and played with his building blocks. He was such a good boy. We made blocks of a goal post and we tried to shoot block through it. It was fun…

Diary: VIP Seats and a Tokyo Drift

Saturday: It was training week and the 3rd and 4th placing for the World Cup. Was so happy its coming to an end. The training was about creative thinking. How to think outside the box… bla, bla, bla. Food was good at the Armada Hotel. I do recommend those who wants to try it. They had a very nice nasi lemak set.

I attended the Asian Telecoms official launch. It was not the street party as what they told their guest months earlier. It was held in Modesto’s at Jalan P. Ramlee. I must say they brought out a bad impression at the start of their launch. The initially began bragging that it would be a street party then a week or so before the date they change it to Espanda and then later 2 days before the event they change it again to Modesto. Although Asian Telecoms are one of my servicing clients and some of them do read my blog I still stand at my statement that they only managed to give a bad 1st company impression.

I attended the party with my colleagues and one of them Joyce being my date for the evening. I was in the VIP area so all was paid for they had these models with jerseys around entertaining the guest. I got up close and personal with Ms Portugal. She was just 19, still young though. They had those he-she acts. They were dancing to Pussy Cat Dolls - Buttons and the Shakira song, Hips don’t lie. I was waiting for ‘Its Raining Men’ but that they didn’t play that. Over all it was a good party. Surprisingly I met a couple of MBSS seniors and an old friend of mine Matthew Mathan. He’s back from Middle East and just started with Astro and plans to start his own construction service. Biggie ups to him.

Sunday: More training but the activities were fun kept us in stitches as we really went wild with the activity. For example, a case study we were to stuck in half way trough a mountain top and 2 of your climbers are injured its up to you to go down hill to get help. You need to bring 14/37 items from your backpack for a swift get down. Oh yeah there is a storm head and there is a possibility of a stay over. We chose our items and we concluded that the guy was honoured by the Alaskan official for his bravery and declared 29th February as a public holiday. A movie was made of the hero and survivor’s fate thus giving them instant fame like Mawi

At night was the Hotlink Germany Finale Carnivale at Bukit Bintang. There was at least 60,000 people at the event. The event was organised very well. There were so many things to do. Magicians for the kid, some football wave thing, face painting, etc. Only at the carnivale I realised that PCD will be in Sunway, got to get Maxis to get me some tickets. I was seated in the VIP area where most of the artists were hanging out. Maxis out did themselves. They had this big tent with sofas and huge LCD screen TV’s everywhere. They had waiters walking around serving drinks and food from Regent hotel. I hanged out with Reshmonu, Disagree, Reefa, Sasi the Don and of course Flipsyde. They are all cool people very friendly especially Reshmonu. I watched the 1st half of the match and then I headed home

Monday: Was on leave, headed to Midvalley to meet Marcia for lunch and also to get my stock of contact lenses. Had a great bargain 6 months worth of contact lenses with a free sample of contact lenses and a free multi purpose solution for just RM150. Since I was already in Midvalley it was just common sense to catch a movie. I caught Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. All I’ll say is very nice.

The Lina Joy Case: Right not infringed on

http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2006/7/4/nation/14732476&sec=nation

One does wonder what value does the Malaysian Constitutional rights have. The way I see all of this the government sees the non-muslim as a minority. Not that important, I hear them screaming from the newspaper if you don’t like it leave… I blame my fore fathers for this, when the government was created back then no one spoke out. I’m not sure if the ‘minorities’ knew what were the effects be or we they just clouded.

Diary: Week 25

I’ve been having a laid back week, nothing much to do besides negotiating new agreements with clients. I like haggling I’ve been brought up to haggle ever since I was young mum used to drag me around to her ‘shopping’ and one thing I noticed about my mum she was a very good haggler. She would be able to drop an items price by at least 60% off its original price. She was that good. So unintentionally it has kind of rubbed of on me. And recently I was in a seminar on how to negotiate with clients, the corporate way that is.

There are two other projects that I’m handling one being football (EPL, ISA, SPL, etc) and another is a personal favourite. I’m helping out with a colleague of mine to set up Singapore’s Cartoon Networks WAP Portal. I get to

The weekend I, Alex and Andrew hanged out at 1 Utama. We wanted to celebrate Alex farewell and Andrews’s educational achievement. We went to watch Cars. Yes I’m lil back dated in the movie area. As the world watches Superman Return from wherever he was I was watching Cars. I must say it was kind of a cool movie. Not as good as Nemo or the Incredibles. It was a male movie or if you like cars, A very simple story line, amazing graphics and the comedy to me was lil adult I doubt kids could understand ‘em in short it was like watching a race + pimp my ride.

After the movie we played some pool at the bowling arena. We had so much fun we lost track of time. After pool we headed to Chillis for dinner. The boys ordered whatever they wanted and we only headed back home after 11. We tried to get a cab but all we got was a bus. So we rode it all the way home…. Damm I need a car.

Oh yeah I forgot we took a cab to 1 Utama. The cab driver was listening to Light and Easy and it was playing a Tony Bennett song. I was singing along to the song till the cab driver asked if we were from overseas, then he asked my qualification and I lied to him saying I had a degree. The taxi driver later asked how my English was. Which then led me to composing the taxi driver’s daughters wedding speech. So along the way to the taxi ride I compose this mans speech and I hope he is happy with it. He asked for my mobile but I gave him a fake one. Last thing I need is someone calling me and asking for changes or adjustments.

Marina gave me the best gift I could ever asked for. It’s a lil lame but I really like it. She gave me postcards of Siti Nurhaliza. Yeah I already can hear u cursing me right now. She does have the prettiest smile. I find myself loosing myself in her eyes and all my worries fly away when I see her smile. So now I have her pasted all over my cubicle. And I smile often now…. Lame init
