Diary: Been Away Too Long Part 2

The week went by as usual nothing much to report but there us two important things that happened 1 was I meet the SEPET guy. I think he works for the Star; he actually looks like a VCD peddler or it could be just me having his face stick to the role. The second most important thing was I got to meet SEARCH, no not the finding panel but SEARCH as in the rock group. I sat next to Amy Search and explained to him how our ring tones and or services worked while Hasmida and shelly gave a presentation. After the presentation I got then to sign autograph my Search album. This is now in the safe keeping of my house.

I’ve been doing the healthy thing by going for swimming and sauna with Mel everyday Friday at my new favorite condo in Mont Kiara. After that exercise we have a nice dinner and by then we are already too tired to do anything else. This by the way is cool by me much healthier than going to clubs and what not. The weekend was a family day. We headed to Klang church 1st to attend the evening mass where it was celebrated by and Indian Priest from India. It was short and sweet, just the way I liked it but just before the final blessing a speech from an old principal was given which talked about how we should encourage our children to be one and the benefits of it. That was a total bore. After the blessing we headed home to be received by our loving aunts

They hosted the diner that night; they bought many dishes for around Klang town everyone was there even Kelvin’s steady girlfriend noted to be the wife of Kelvin soon to be wife. After dinner was where the fun began. It all began with the aunts singing old, very old songs, then after that we all had a sing a song. I sang Search – Rozana which nobody appreciated. They dancing began; no you didn’t hear any 50 cents or Kylie Minogue. It was allows song like La Cucaracha, La Bamba, Tequila, and that train song which The Mask loves to do. After all that we had Indian songs. We all danced the night a way by end of the day we all felt that we had been to a sauna. We ended the night with my rendition of Smoke Gets In Your Eyes.

Oh yeah my dad and Alex wasn’t in the picture at all as Alex decided to stay back and study as his exams are on Tuesday. Dad stayed back because he had some Indian community function he needed to attend. They would only come the day after. Michael was the star of the place as he kept on with his dancing

The next day mum and I got up early to get breakfast. We headed to the market we got some yam cake, char siew pau, siew pau, roasted pork, and some other stuff. Mum made lunch but I wasn’t really that hungry cause of the big breakfast. We then got ready for our family photo shoot. I’ll try to post so of the un-official pictures on the site soon. After the photo shoot we headed back to grandma’s. We had tea and relaxed till dinner time where we had a feast of a meal. After the meal we headed home.

It was Nick’s birthday on Monday, he celebrated it in a Chinese restaurant called the Oriental Maju Plaza located on the 5th floor of Maju Function. I came with Mel and Lisa. I kept joking with Mel that it looked similar too Yong and Dangerous. We made our way into a private room where 3 tables were set. One for relations, One for office colleagues and another for friends. Nick sat with his office colleagues coming over once in while asking if the food was good or not. In my table sat Me, Mel, Lisa, Yoges, Vincent and 3 other Nicks friends. We sat chit chatted teased one another. Apparently the restaurant was a Chinese halal restaurant which is shared by the politician with the bow tie. Dinner to me wasn’t really that great, basic 8 course Chinese dinner.

Tuesday I meet up with Shari for lunch we headed to Lot 10 SFC for lunch and then to Time Square for a movie. We watched Star Wars to me was just an ok movie, all the questions are now answered. The question is when are they going to come back with the 6 disc DVD box set. We headed the Starbucks after the movie for tea where we chit chatted on stuff and after that we headed home. I went home took a short nap which woke me up at 2 in the morning. Wednesday was a rest day I watched the A-Team on TV did lil Oprah watched some DVD’s and all.

Thursday was me playing a tourist guide day. I was supposed to take my UK aunts around town get the best bargain and all. I brought them to Sg Wang, Lot 10, KLCC and Pasar Seni. They bought allot of souvenirs and CD’s. All of them had list so it was easy. I brought them to have Chicken rice at Lot 10 which they enjoyed accompanied with Ice kacang. I guess they had a lovely time and so did I with my aunts.

Diary: Been Away Too Long Part 1

Hey Guys,

It’s been a while since I blogged anything in here. It’s actually a mixture of laziness and business that has prevented me in updating my life in here. Loads of things have happened in the past couple of days. But I’ll just briefly put in the highlights of the past 10 days. I and Mel paid a visit to the Mont Kiara condo again to use the swimming pool facilities. I did a couple of laps in the pool; Lazed in the Jacuzzi did the sauna thing and headed to 1 Utama for a movie. We plan to do the same thing next week as well. Honestly, I never knew a dip in the pool after a tiring day does wonders. I was refreshed instantaneously. After swimming we headed to 1 Utama to get movie tickets to see Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday and we also decided to watch Divergence that very night. Without thinking we bought thickets for it, both of us were extremely hungry as we both didn’t have anything for lunch. Just with a bag of cheesel’s each and a soft drink we went to watch that movie. That Movie stared Daniel Wu, Aaron Kwon and Eking Cheng, my review for it, SUCKED. Story was good by the casting was all wrong.

After the movie we headed to Kawan Lama Corner for dinner as we were practically starving. After that we headed home as Mel had to work the next day. I was so tired after a stressful that I slept so soundly that I only woke up after 11. Its been a long time since I’ve ever done such a thing. Mum didn’t cook any lunch so I had to do my own lunch. I just lazyed around the TV till late in the evening where I got ready to go to 1 Utama to catch Kingdom of Heaven. I was the 1st to arrive so I hanged at MPH scouting around the new arrivals and other titles. I listed them down on my hand phone so I could get them later in Kinokuniya. I meet up with Mel we had to find a restaurant fast as we had to have dinner and rush to the cinema. We choose Chilies where I had lamb, Mel had triple play and Lisa had Monterey Chicken.

After a quick meal we headed to the cinema, the movie was just about senseless killing of Muslims and Christians. Bloom played his role very well but it wasn’t really my kind of movie. After the movie we headed to Mont Kiara Coffee Bean to meet up with Mel’s bro and parents. I had some insurance issue that needed to betaken care of. I find it wonderful how close knit Mel’s family. Everyone getting along with each other so friendly. I had a nice chat with Mel’s mum again. In that Coffee Bean I met Cheryl Samad coming for a drink as well. Who is Cheryl Samad I think you can catch her in one of our famous soaps or go to Watson she is poster everywhere. After that we headed home.

Next morning I woke up early to head to St John’s for mass. Mass was kept by a priest who looked more like a teddy bear, its either that or I was just to sleepy to notice I got breakfast along the way and I met up with my parents in the train station as we were headed to Klang to meet up my Aunts who just came down from London. Yes Aunt Irene is down for 2 weeks. My Aunt Susan is also down. We don’t really see nor hear much of her as she is always with her family. She has 2 beautiful daughters.

As everyone was there we penned down their 2 weeks activities. We had a potluck so they were many dished to eat, chicken redang, beef stew, kicap fish, vege, etc I took a short nap after that and woke up all sweaty. I really can’t take Klang weather is so hot and humid. I had my cup of tea. Did a lil chatting with the relatives played with lil Michael who is getting smarter and smarter all the time. Alex came later in the evening after his tuition class. We stayed for dinner and ate the left over and then we left home.

Diary: 7- 8 May 2005 Best Bday Ever & More

I woke up as usual saw my cartoon then I headed to the Barbers to have a lil snip-nip for today’s party. I headed to KLCC to get some wine where I saw they were having a sale on Champagne I got a small bottle along with 2 fruity wine. I ran a lil errands for myself when it came to lunch time I headed to Chilies to my surprise Sharon was there, Mel told me that she was in Langkawi and unable to make it. I had my chicken crispers and I left back home. I was a lil sleepy, afraid I would sleep throughout the day and miss going to Mel part I stayed up watching Astro.

It began to rain heavily at 3, I quickly called Mel to tell him about it but he was relaxed and happy. He said better now then later. Rain poured till late evening. Mel fetched me at 5-ish and we headed to the condo. Mel’s mum and was there to greet us. We got all the stuff upstairs and began to chill in. I was taking in the sight when Mel handed me a beer, we began to drink early. Lisa was busy doing the final touches for his food. I must commend on her effort she put in for this party, she should be in the catering business. Mel’s mum made some chicken redang and sambal prawns 2 excellent dishes. Nick and Yoges was our first guest to arrive they came around 6-ish. Nick brought his new girlfriend Esther. Nice looking chick.

We headed to the pool area where the party was to be held. Mel and Yoges did the BBQ pit while I lingered around. Looking at the dishes. Lisa made some egg dish, sambal and tomato sausages, lemon chicken, coleslaw, balled melon, fruit salad, etc. We set up the place but the BBQ wasn’t really ready yet. I came over and fanned the charcoal till it was firing orange. They began BBQ-ing the wings. The drinking had officially began every one of us had a can and it was compulsory to either to do a half or bottoms up. I hate BEER! I was the 1st to be thrown in the pool; I knew that was to happen so I brought extra clothes luckily I gave all my phone and keys to Lisa to hold thinking he would be the safest. As they carried me they only thing I ran through my mind please let it not be the deep end and It wasn’t. After me it all began one by one I and Mel carried his brother and threw him to the pool his son cried as we man handled him. Next was Bryan with Mel falling in with him. No one was spared if you couldn’t get in the pool you were splashed with water. Mel’s Mum and Dad was splashed with water. A sneak attack on his pregnant sister-in-law and everyone was drenched. Mel being drunk made us poses in our undies. I’m waiting to burn that picture

I shitty thing happen, Yoges threw Lisa into the pool along with my hand phone in it. Shit I just had the thing fully dry now I had to go back to the whole process of drying it. My phone as usual could not be switched on till the very next day when the water cleared up a little. Till then I was disconnected to world unable to call anyone or received any messages. As I switched on my phone and my messages came through I noticed that the scroll bar was acting up. Dam it now I need to buy a phone….. Currently I’m using the NEC e238 as a standby. Thank you very much.

We swam till 11.30 at night something I have never done before. I’ve fallen in love with the condo. After clearing up the place we headed back to the apartment, we sat for awhile drank a lil wine then we headed to bed. I had the best sleep I ever had in my life. Mel said it was because I was sleeping in a half a mill house. I woke up early the very next day; my phone was out so I couldn’t call all the Mothers I knew to wish them Happy Mothers Day. I also couldn’t call Andrew to wish him a Happy Birthday. I was the 1st to wake up. I enjoyed the stillness of the morning, the peacefulness of it all. The view of the city was majestic. I could also see greenery. I quietly sat in the dining room reading yesterdays newspaper. Mel’s mum wakes up and we both have tea together; we have a lil chat about the places she has been. We talk about Shanghai, Korea, London. Mel and Lisa are asleep. I find myself a lil restless as it’s already 11, then Mel comes out and says lets go for a swim. I agree and we do a lil laps, lay by the Jacuzzi and then we head to the sauna. I’m already in love with this place. After all that I’m a bit tired Lisa and Mel are packing up I sneak a lil snooze. We leave at 3 and head to Mont Kiara or lunch. We headed to Penang Village and had something to eat. After that I headed home.

I did my ironing, soaked my clothes for washing. Watched a lil TV and the family and I headed to Pizza Hut for dinner. I hate doing anything as a family cause you will always come back agitated or angry or both. Pizza Hut was that, I didn’t have much appetite, the service there was horrendous. The staff was lazy inattentive and unconcerned. They never set our table, so we were out of cutleries till the food came which took forever. All I say it was a bad experience which I will never go there again. After dinner I turned in early.

Diary: 5 - 6 May 2005

Thursday was the worst day of the week, it began fairly well actually. Had a nice breakfast with Logen and Daryl. Work began ok but somewhere the second half of the day is where it got bad. Sharon came in asking to do changes for Yahoo content, 300 plus worth of changes I was quite pissed with that. I and Lenny stayed back late night to get that done by Friday. I dint want to work on Friday and Saturday as I already know Melman would need my help sorting his birthday. What was worst I was getting sick? I knew the whole works were coming Cough, Fever, Flu and Sore Throat. I became my own doctor as I took Redoxon as a precaution step for my flu, a small dosage of Panadol for the fever and Fisherman’s Friend for my sore throat. I’ve got to be healthy till Melman birthday. Winnie and Denisa visited us today. Denisa stayed back to have tea with us at Purnama.

Friday I had waffles for breakfast at Commons. Me, Daryl and Logen decided to go for western breakfast. The waffles was excellent, I had it with melted butter and jam. I was happy as it was end of the week, all of my headaches are over Yahoo is completed. Then Hkng calls me to his office telling me Zaki has already promised Maxis something we don’t have any clue of. Zaki the ass wipe has promised a new format which was under a test phase with no positive results yet. He wants all the content to be in the in that format by Monday. To make it worse Kevin is troubling me with his amendments and all. What ever it was I was heading out the office door at 6. I still under the weather, Hkng made it clear that the new format needed to be in place ASAP. He was also pissed that Zaki made empty promises and dint inform us about it. I hate Zaki for doing that all the time. I left office at 6.30; I was the 1st to leave in the batch. I just couldn’t care less about work anymore. I met up with Mel and we headed to Tesco to get some booze for tomorrow’s party. After Tesco we headed to Mel’s place to pick up some food stuff and some other stuff to bring to the condo.

The condo was just located next to the Sunrise Plaza, where PST used to work. The place was highly secured. There was a German Shepard paroling the guard house. Inside was a world of its own. Each building had its own card key for the tenant to come in. We were received by Melman Mum who opened the door for us. Each block also had a couple of trolley for use. We filled all our stuff in the trolley and headed up to the lift, 35 floors up. Melman bro was located at the very top with the most wonderful view of the city. You could see KLCC and KL Tower. We got to work putting all the stuff in the fridge and joking around. Mel’s dad was there fixing the curtain thing. Mel’s mum was very accommodating; she made sure we had something to eat before we left. So motherly, I wished my mum was like that. After stocking up the fridge we headed to the pool area to scout around the party place.

We headed to Kuchai lama food court where Mel treated me to a Crispy Fried Chicken Rice. The place was exactly like Ming Tien in SS2. The food was actually good after lunch we headed to Gopal’s place to surprise him for his birthday. He and Mel share the same birthday date and everyone was eager for his birthday bash and forgetting him. His wife Raveen gave us his house keys and they left for supper we went in with some of his relatives to surprise him. We hid in a room and when he came in to his house we ran out shouting SURPRISE!! ! He was happy… we had lil drink session and some birthday cake and Me and Mel called it a night. It was way pass midnight and Mel wanted his gift, he was like a kid. I gave him his present and it was like the credit card advertisment. His expression was priceless, he didnt expect a bluetooth for his birthday. He was Happy....

Diary: 3 - 4 May 2005

I woke up at 6.30 hoping to catch an early bus, come early finish early. It was an empty city. I reached office 7-ish had breakfast with Logen and Paul. I headed to work and got it done by 12. Everyone was not at home and I had the whole place to myself. I decided to watch a movie which ended up me sleeping on the couch. I got up later in the evening did my ironing and watched lil TV and turned in as the next day was a big day.

Tuesday felt pretty much like a Monday, all my Monday meetings were carried forward to Tuesday. The whole gang was there as we had breakfast all eager for the Liverpool Chelsea match up. Shelly was back, I greeted her with my famous hug. She got me Manchester United Shooter glasses for my birthday. How appropriate. Meeting was ok I guess all my projects are on schedule. Lester announced that the Sales meeting for next month will be held tomorrow. Shit now I have to do the projections and explain why we didn’t hit our target.

Wednesday breezed by the sales meeting wasn’t as scary as I assumed. I guess it was because Lester was happy with Liverpool winning in. Lenny wanted to pay his hand phone during lunch, so we headed to Bangsar unfortunately the machine was offline and he couldn’t pay. I think I and Lenny had an argument something stupid I said made him mad.

Diary: 1 May 2005

Ever had a day when someone says something wrong and just spoil your morning. Well I woke up to a peaceful morning. It was quite early, dad was reading his paper and it was quite and peaceful. I guess both of us were enjoying the stillness of the moment. I was about to make coffee and sip it and go through the morning paper when my mother woke up and standard scolding my dad for not switching the radio on. She said that she likes the radio on a peaceful quite day. The words that she choose made me angry, my dad was silent as I think he is used to mum on his case all the time but I came to my dad’s rescue although he didn’t need it. I told my mum to back off and we were enjoying a quite morning. That led to a big argument of course dad wasn’t really bothered he didn’t say a thing. The argument actually screwed my whole morning. Not wanting to spoil the whole day I headed to Sg Wang to get my cd’s which I forgot to get the day after. I headed straight my shop and got 10 cd’s it was a good offer Rm10 for 1 buy 5 FREE 2.

I headed home assuming mum and dad had left to a wedding but mum was still there all dressed up waiting for dad to pick her up. She was busy body enough to go through my newly bought cd and asked why I never buy her any cd and how selfish I am. I swear to god she must be going under PMS. I didn’t want to give any retorts back to make it worse. I just headed to my room tested my cd’s and hanged out with Alex.

In the evening the family headed to St Joseph church for its feast day. He is the patron saint for laborers. And his feast day is always on labors day. Mass was wonderfully choreographed we had 45 servers, a procession, and adoration. I saw people I knew relatives I seldom see. I got an SMS from my boss saying I had to come back to work tomorrow. Bummer!! !

Diary: 30 April 2005 - Non Stop On The Go

Saturday began at 8-ish where my phone kept beeping with all my daily SMS/MMS coming in. I really wanted to sleep in till 10 but once I’m awake, I’m awake. I got up watched a lil carton and at about 10.30 I left to pay my bills and run some errands. I headed 1st to KLCC to get all my banking issues done, There was a huge crowd waiting to pay their bill via the kiosk. Luckily I brought my MP3 player that kept me company while I was in line. After paying my banking bills I went to Maxis to check on my balance, to my surprise I had a debit amount but I still decided to pay my usual amount. After Maxis it was Citibank credit card payment after that a train rides to HSBC for my last payment.

I was quite thirst luckily HSBC was giving out free beverages and I took the liberty of it. I headed to Sg Wang to hunt for some people’s birthday in the Month of May. First I bought a prepaid pack for Andrew as he requested it for his birthday. Now the hunt for Mel’s birthday gift, what do you get a guy who has everything. I knew what he wanted so I scouted around for his ‘gift’ and found him something great that he would like. Next was for Winnie’s birthday gift. She got me something me some Singaporean fruit pick. I got her a teddy from memory lane. I just hope she enjoys it. By the time I was done it was already 2-ish. I was famished. I decided to buy chicken rice from Lot 10 and headed home but I had to do a detour to TMC Bangsar to help my mum with the groceries. By the time I reached home it was already 5p.m. my chicken rice was a waste. I gave my mum to steam later to share with my brothers. I got a call from Mel saying he was already in Times Square.

I took a quick bath and headed to Time Square by now I was purely exhausted by then. I took the monorail and headed straight to the Square. I sat next to the driver the ride was lil like a rollercoaster. The guy was going as fast at 100 km/h. I reached Time Square in 15 minutes. I had a friend who apparently fell down from the stairs as she said it was steep but looking at the stairs it was normally portion. I guess she fell cause of the crowd. I meet Melman at Borders and we hanged in Starbucks in Borders. I finally had something to eat. A piece of cheese cake and one of their caramel blenders. We were supposed to watch xXx 2 at 7.50 so we hanged in star bucks reading magazines and stealing cooking recipes from the shelves for Melman’s pool party next week.

He said that that anyone who didn’t attend his party… well he’ll know how to deal with them. I don’t blame the brother. I would be pissed too if my friends didn’t come. I’m actually cross with some who didn’t make it actually. The movie was excellent much better than the 1st one. Ice Cube is no Van Diesel but his just another black gut with attitude. After the movie we headed to Poppy Seed to check out the local scene. The place was filled with middle aged people drinking champagne and Chivas. The ambience was quite cool, New York club atmosphere I think. After that we headed to the Dim Sum place at Jln Ipoh for a late supper.

Diary: 29 April 2005 - Friday Blues

It was a typical Friday, everyone with free spirit, lazy to do their work. It was also nice that the pay had already kicked in. Ah Wai and Kelly came back to work today; it was a surprise to see both of them with tattoos. Kelly being thin had a big one on her arm. Didn’t really suite her as she was a skinny gal. Ah Wai had a tattoo at her ankle, a picture of a ‘cicak’. Lenny wanted to go to pay his car bill at Bangsar, so we headed there during lunch time and then to KFC for lunch. I really wasn’t up for KFC so I had the burger instead. Lenny chomped down on his KFC. We talked about work and personal thing. We headed back to work, me feeling so sleepy all of a sudden after lunch. Now I hope the next 6 hours would just pass me by.

After work I met up with Mel. Mel has been reading my blog last couple of days and he has been going through my past blogs. I had a lot of explanation to do when he asked what most of my entries meant. Hahaha… finally I had to fess up with what I really mean. We headed to Chilies 1 Utama for a drink and to bitch about stuff. We caught the Asian Pool challenged where we saw a Malaysian guy beat Efen Reyes (Asian No1 Pool Champion). After the drink we headed to a place in Mont Kiara where one of Mel’s friends invited us for an Executive Clubs opening. The place was called Dynasty, it had a nice lounge, and then there was the slot machine in another room where everybody was. We were the youngest chap in the room. It was filed with mid life crisis people hoping to make a quick buck in the slot machines. They had FREE food and beer. We ate some and we left. We cruised the night of KL. We wanted to hang in some club but decided not too as both of us had a busy schedule the next day.
