Diary: Ushering The New year

It’s the eve of the new year and to me it just seem like another weekend at home. My brain is so not ready for work. I sit at home and watch my VCD in my brand new DVD player. I watched Mickey Blue Eyes staring Hugh Grant and some gal quite good. I like is way of acting kind of convincing with his quirky realistic jokes. I also caught a classic movie The Matrix. I was just to lazy to do anything else Mum cooked sardine as we decided that for diner all buy back from the Night Market. I decided to skip lunch and too another short nap at 3, I set my alarm at 5 but I woe up earlier. I took my bath and shaved for the night of booze and friendship. I called Lenny to see here they had seconded us apparently now is Phileo.

I was 1st to reached Thai club at 8.05, our table was set somewhere back near the pool table where Nick was so kind to change near the entrance of it. As I waited Nick was kind enough to accompany me. Mel came at about 9, Nick was also kind enough to order us dinner Tuna Turkey pizza and sate. As we ate Neeraj came to say Hi and was kind enough to play us Ludacris – Move Bitch which we sang our hearts out. There wasn’t much of a crowd at the beginning. I got a bottle of Sambucca so that everyone can do flaming shots. I ended up lighting 5 by myself… Marcia I can light it by myself now… yippee

Over the course of the event I did feel bit lonely as most of them did come in couple… I’ve told myself I’m over and done with this couple thing but once is still human. Nick was at our table when the clock turned 00:00. I hugged him and wished him a Happy new year. I hugged Mel too… As the party began in Thai Club I walked outside to see how the streets were celebrating. People were covered if fake snow and streamers as they sprayed from their aerosol cans. There goes our ozone layer… there should be a tear directly above them as they played it from 12 – 2. All the cars that passed by was sprayed with snow and streamers except for Police Cars of course. Policemen on the streets weren’t covered with any fake snow and streamers they were dodge quite well.

I began to become bored at the crowd suddenly grew from time to time. I, Mel and Lisa left Thai club before the clock reached 2. Luck was on our side as after we left Thai club was raided and they brought in K9 Dogs. After Thai club we headed to Jalan Ipoh dim sum and we had a light snack. They were lot of people after party like us as well enjoying their late night supper. After dim sum Mel sent me home and we made plans to meet on Sunday.

At home I took a long hot shower and headed straight to bed. I sat my alarm twice at 7 and 8. I was so in a verge to cut mass but I decided I didn’t want to get scolding on the 1st day of the year (Indian Superstition) so I went to church, everyone was still in bed sleeping. I wasn’t really paying attention during sermon, Father was taking about Virgin Mary’s pregnancy issue when my mind surprisingly drifted to Smallville. I could stop imagining watching Chloe’s face at the prom, you could see that she was so happy being beside Clark Kent. Chloe had such a nice smile very honest. My mind wondered further If Clark Kent had adventures while staying in Smallville using his powers what about Jesus. He had powers too, wonder why nobody is doing a series on that. Jesus at his teen years, wonder he had the hots with anyone?

After mass I shook hand with the priest and once outside church I met Anne and Jerome I wished the Happy New year and I headed back home. On the way I called Peggy to wish her a Happy new year she wished me all the best in 2005. She asked me when I would come over but I couldn’t reply as I knew that work will take the best of me now. Back at home mum was at kitchen washing up stuff, he turns around and tell me “Mark u went to church ah, u know if you didn’t want to go its ok but u must go tis evening as it is an obligation”… God tis people cant make up their mind. I sat and watched TV, Many of the relatives called to wish us Happy New Year. At 2 I went to sleep and woke up at 5 so I could go to church :P. After church we headed to Jalan Ipoh dim sum again as now my family wanted enjoy it.
