Sorry guys if the picture offends you but it caps what I really want to say to all. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I wish that 2008 brings u much luck, prosperity, health and a huge dossage of love. I love you all and my prayers are with you.
See you in 2008....

I made Muruku

Well X’mas is around the corer and since I have so much time to spare, I helped my mum make some cookies. We made muruku, achi muruku/rose muruku and also suji biscuit. It really felt like being a kid all over again. Me helping mum in the kitchen, does that bring back memories. I had my hand for the 1st time making muruku and damm was it tough, I just ended up making a mess. Out of 5 tries I only made one good muruku. I just wanted to be like the male guys cooking and baking at AFC.

I'd love to invite you guys over to my place but I cant as my pad is yet to be ready (end of 2008, fingers cross) and I'll be in Klang on the 25th and 26th. So if your down maybe we could meet. I hear they have a new mall that has finally brought up the living standards of Klang people. Klang finally has a Dome and for the ladies a MNG. Hope this will lessen the traffic of Klang people coming to Midvalley.

I'm Back

It’s been a long time since I’ve not blogged, close to 3 months I guess. Well there is couple of valid reasons and those close to me know what has happen and the reason to my hiatus. To sum it all, karma has come back full circle. All the bad things I did in my life has come and bit me in the arse. I know what I did bad and now I’m paying for it.

I didn’t take this incident in my life as a pitfall but I instead reassessed my life and how I was running it. Funny, at times I was gasping to make it in the world I was in. Leaving it all behind I can see now how much baggage I was carrying and what I could do without. I strongly believe GOD has a plan for me and I intend to include him in my life more. You might guess that this isn’t Mark, but thanks to close friends like Marcia and Mum they kind of made me realize how one needs ‘his’ help.

Being away from what I was used too and my daily routines I was strangely overcome with peace and calmness. A feeling that I have never felt before… not for a very long time anyway. I’ve take the time off to start of a small side business with 2 of my ex-colleagues. Its called Plan A Date, We are party/dating planners, no event is too small. Dont know how to surprise your love one anymore, or just got a big party u cant handle. Give me a call and let me worry about the details. We are a professional bunch just go to the site for more info.

Anyway this year X’mas will be small and I think I have a lot to be grateful for but it will be a simple one. I’ll leave now, but I promise I’ll be back with more ranting and just for your info I didn’t join Hindraf… hehehehe

The Black Donnellys

I am like any other man, I love good mob pic, The Godfather, Goodfellas, Sapranos, etc. My latest craze is The Black Donnelys. You cant catch it on Astro Star Movies every Sunday at 10pm or you could be impatient like me and watch the whole season at the link below
This serial is scripted very nicely, there is a saying 'We make our own choices' but what leads us to our choices?

Well about the show, let me summarize it for you, the series follows four young Catholic Irish-American brothers in Hell's Kitchen and their involvement with organized crime. Although the show is set in the present day, it draws heavily upon Irish-American history and iconic themes. The pilot episode illustrates a clear tension and rivalry between the Irish and the Italians. The episodes are narrated by a childhood friend, Joey "Ice Cream", whom the show depicts as an unreliable narrator.

The Black Donnellys was created by Paul Haggis and Robert Moresco. Cast members include Jonathan Tucker, Olivia Wilde (HOTTIE, god love her eyes), Billy Lush, Tom Guiry and Kirk Acevedo with relative newcomers Michael Stahl-David and Keith Nobbs. The only thing that I'm sad is that the show got cancelled after one season. What a waste.

Future of our Kids

I may never get married and have kids. I thought that was a bad thing but lately after seeing the loss of 2 high profile kids cases. Me not having kids seem not a bad idea. Times are bad now (boy dont i sound like an old man). Its no longer the days we grew up in. How many of you when u were a kid, your mum sent you to the shop or market to get something? You might have hated it or loved it but thats not going to happen to your kids.

I got a mail recently, a parent lost their kid in a hypermart and after a lock down they found her naked, druged and shaved. I guess the only solution fo this is you dont bring they out or we have them on a leash. I remember my brother being in one. It was a parental snap to the arm. We used to be able to say, 'Oh that area bad lah" that remark has no merit now, these crimes happens anywhere.

Do you think Malaysia should set up its own S.V.U now with these cases on rise?

Quak Quak Lost Phone

I recently lost all of my contacts and personal data in my hand phone. It was my fault, I was itching to upgrade my software myself and I did it wrongly. The outcome was I had to go to Nokia to get the phone re-formatted. I lost all of my contacts, Bdays reminders and personal information. I apologize in advance for my stupidity for losing your number and forgetting to call u on your occasion. I’ll have to gather your info when I meet you yeah….

With the ‘losing’ of my phone I realised how dependent I was to this mobile phone. It was my gateway to my brain. My brain obviously doesn’t remember Bdays and numbers any more. Back when I was in High School, I could remember telephone numbers and do math problems in my head. After that I had the hand phones to remind me of numbers and birthdays and all my details. My brain didn’t need to work that much anymore just gets some good ideas for work and to soak in all the cartoons, movies and dramas it could. It was much better then studying.

I was paralysed when I left my phone for 3 days at Nokia. No one could contact me. I felt insecure, like something was missing. I am technologically driven, I check everything online and I love the concept of greeting everything at my finger tips. My phone could Call, SMS (whose cant duh), browse the Internet, was a radio to my favourite station as well had my once of play list. Those 3 days without my phone I was paralysed, I couldn’t do all that and I felt less equipped.

How would you survive without your phone for 3 days?

Miss Malaysia The Traitor or ...?

I’m not to sure if you recently caught the Uniquely Singapore advert. The lady above is the new spokesperson for their tourism campaign. Emeline Ng Vei Shu, winner of Miss Malaysia 2005 was born in Singapore and brought up in Malaysia and Australia. You would think she would have an annoying foreign accent but in the advert she hardly could speak fluently.

Anyways what is Miss Malaysia doing helping the Singaporeans? I find this an insult to the nation. It’s like the French aiding the Germans…. unthinkable. I also surprised why no one has made a fuss about this. Am I over reacting? I shared this information with my colleagues and the 1st thing that came out of their mouth is TRAITOR. But hey, lets put ourselves in her shoes, be very honest now, if you were a somebody and Singapore paid you a hefty amount would you take it?

We love, hate our country but would you do it?

Msia 50 years old

This week Peninsular Malaysia will celebrate the 50th Independence day, where else Sabah & Sarawak will be celebrating the 44th Independence day. I can go about shouting what we lack and all the negative stuff but what I am grateful for in Malaysia is

1. Being a ‘foodie’ I love Malaysia for having so many kind of foods. I dare say my mum doesn’t cook Indian cuisine at home. She cooks a mixture of Indian, Malay and Chinese. I can get whatever my taste pallets desire.

2. I love culture, I love to get to know the does and don’t, what they believe, etc. I noticed some people just like to stick with one race because of fear of language (they don’t speak well).

3. I love it that we are throwing down racial and religion barriers and we are dating other races. The goal is the get so mixed the government cant segregate us no more…Hehehe

4. When I go abroad on MAS and the Pilot says “… to all Malaysian, Welcome Home’

5. I’m also grateful on the education that we have received, it isn’t ideal but it’s the best that we can get.

What are you grateful for?

Power to the Press No more

Is it just me or are we just paying too much attention on the Dude who made a mockery of the national anthem. How many of you, growing up had your own version of the national anthem? I also can’t understand why the government can’t decide on their decision. Are you going to punish him or not? Someone needs to stand firm, they way I see it, the government is being like a lady who can’t make up their mind. Should the guy be punished? Hell yes! He was so stupid to be video taped.

I think there are more pressing matters that we should be concentrating, for example marginalization of the non-muslim community, finding out who is in charge of creating guidelines for busses, etc. Our media lacks the passion to uncover the truth or to push the government for answers. I’ve heard some of the community say that all of the Media is run by the government thus there is not much of press power to exercise. What worries me is most of us are like cattle being feed what they think we need to know…..
It all boils down to our daily attitude, we actually dont really care about what our government does, or what rights are being revoked. Saying I cant do anythin about it is no longer an option. We celbrate the 50th year of independence but there are still walls where most of us cant break through....

Holiday Trips.....

Is it just me or is our neighbor Singapore being inconsiderate. The only time we have visit Malaysia they launch their own tourism campaign. What I actually find insulting is, they have special promo’s for Malaysian who go visiting Singapore. As Malaysian we should be visiting our national treasure. Talking about national treasure an old friend informed me of a nice place to relax. If all goes as plan I would love to go to Bubu resort at Pulau Perhentian next year. Just sit in and take in the sun.

http://www.buburesort.com.my/

I guess this year I was bless to go to Xiamen on a free ticket including accomodations. Would i go again, probalbly not but I can definately scratch it off my list. I plan for a short ttip this October to our neighbouring country (NOT SINGAPORE). I like to go places where our currency rate is bigger, makes me feel rich for a while. I hear rumours that my company trip this year will be Bangkok, hope to god it is.... need to start collecting my one ringgit bills... hehehehe

Something I got in the mail...

One day a man saw anold lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even inthe dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was those chills which only fear can put in you.

He said, "I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson."Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and beganto talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only justpassing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryanjust smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owedhim. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imaginedall the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped.Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who hadgiven him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it neveroccurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance theyneeded, and Bryan added, "And think of me."He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold anddepressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearinginto the twilight.A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab abite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home.

It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan.

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin. There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: "You don'towe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out,the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what youdo: Do not let this chain of love end with you.

" Under the napkin were four more $100 bills. Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard....She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her,she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, "Everything's going tobe all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson."There is an old saying "What goes around comes around." Today, I sent youthis story and I'm asking you to pass it on... Let this light shine.Don't delete it, don't keep it. Simply, pass this on to a friend.

RAT - PATAOOIIII

I got Ratatouille tickets yesterday courtesy of MY.fm. The movie was 50-50 to me. It didn’t have the impact of The Incredibles or the wit of Monsters Inc. In irony it lacks its own spice to the movie. As for the graphics, it was not a let down. The quality has been magnificent especially they way they captured the nights of Paris. What I really enjoyed is the short story titled Lifted. It’s a story of an amateur alien trying to get his license in abduction. You must catch it

Harry Potter Fest

Its been a long time since i blogged. So many things going on with work and personal life. I was one of nthe few that stood outside Kinokuniya at 3am to get my book. It was a fun day i must say but i threw my shouldre in the process which has not healed mind you. So I cant carry anything heavy.
Some people have ruined the ending for me and the either think themself cute or cheecky but i think they are down right annoying. I'll take my time to finish this as I would like to hang to every word that J.K.R writes. I think she is one of our greates writes of this time. Its not always we get to be apart of literature history.
I promise to post as soon as possible. When i have the time of course ;)

Away Too Long

It’s been quite sometime since I’ve blogged and the reason being that I’ve been too busy with 2 things, family and a secret project. I missed allot of the movie arena, I missed Shivaji, Transformers, Die Hard and now maybe Harry Potter. It’s good to be busy, keeps me occupied and hopefully lose that extra weight that I need to.

Couple weeks back was lil Christopher Robin’s baptism and we headed to Klang. Funny I think the baby changed when I last time I saw him. He’s much rounder, bigger eyes and the cutest smile that melts your stone heart (mine). Maybe having him around wouldn’t be as bad as I thought… hehehe.

Next week is Andrew confirmation and everyone will be down at Sentul. I got him a brand new tie to along with his brand new suit. Alex will also be down, he sounds like a changed man but then again its Alex you can’t expect much. The 3 of us are now adults, it feels a lil weird I knew I was never such a good role model but I do hope they did learn something from me… good I hope
