Diary: Spiritual Week

Work: Slightly toned down now with the World Cup half the way to the end. Currently I am tying up all the legal loose ends for the ring tones copyright. Now I need to familiarise with legal terms. I tried to find a course for this but non-is available. Currently all I do is ask my Chief-Operating-Officer.

Leisure: Nothing much happened. I spent last Friday night with the boys watching Argentina beat the crap out off Serbia and Montenegro and then watching Netherlands win over Ivory Coast. Good Game. Well needless to say half of Saturday was wasted sleeping. I caught the movie Firewall on my DVD. Quite slow. Harrison form looks old I wonder how Indiana Jones 4 is going to be.

Spiritual: Last Sunday was the feast of St Anthony as always mum did her vows. We carried 200 buns to church to give away and mum did ‘madi pichai’. It’s an Indian thing. Where somebody stands in front of the church and begs for donation. This donation of course goes to the church. But the act of this is quite humble. I doubt any teenagers today are willing to do this. Alex wore the St Anthony’s outfit. Mum prayed for his form 6 so he would do well. He will have to wear it for 3 years.

Dating: Who it be called cheating if your girlfriend pays no attention to you? But you have another girl who is kind of becoming your friend?

Politics: MIC election is on the way… Its like from a Tamil movie. I just wish all the old people would retire and let the new leafs lead. Uncle Sam has stayed more then he is welcomed. I’ll be posting an article I received on my email on why Dr M is pissed off. Lots of people now agree with Dr. M. I on the other hand am still on the picket fence. I for see a political revolution in the Malaysian Government in the near future. I think we all know there is something wrong about our government but at the surface we all smile dandily. We need ‘V’…..

World Cup Blown Over

Everywhere you go it’s about World Cup, Yesterday I caught an advertisement advert of Breeze (the detergent) going one on one with Ronaldinho. Every newspaper you see is about the World Cup. The Weekend Mail, which I believe has turned into, the crappiest English paper in Malaysia had a whole newspaper dedicated to it. It even had a cut of of an MC, which users can use to pass to their boss.

And then there was the interview session with female celebrity on who they’ll be cheering for in World Cup. Mind you I’m not a male chauvinistic pig but they were asking the wrong person. A woman celebrity interviewed chose Netherlands because Van Nilstroy is cute. You see my point, there are not actually a lot of women I know about the game but the numbers are increasing. Why didn’t they ask them….
What’s also funny is too see our local pundits like Shebby give his views. When is he going to learn that we think he is utter rubbish. I’m waiting for World Cup to end and letting all subside so that everyone can get back to their normal life.

[Intro]
Yeah! It's my tape man, listen to my tapeWOO!!!

[Chorus]
If I was your best friend, I want you 'round all the time (I want you 'round me all the time)
Can I be your best friend, if you promise you'll be mine (Girl promise you'll be mine)
Please say he's just a friend (Uh huh) now girl let's not pretend (Come on)
Either he is or he ain't your man (Ha Ha!) please say he's just a friend
If I was your best friend, I want you 'round all the time (I want you 'round me all the time)
Can I be your best friend, if you promise you'll be mine (Girl promise you'll be mine)
Please say he's just a friend (Uh huh) now girl let's not pretend (Come on)
Either he is or he ain't your man (Ha Ha!) please say he's just a friend
If I was your best friend

[Verse 1]
First we get the talkin, then we get the touchin
If we get pass the phone games we'll be fuckin
I kiss like the french therefore my tongue in your ear
Do it like the dogs do it girl and pull on your hair
For me a different scenery just mean a different position
In the tub or on the sink I improvise now listenIn the chopper or on the jet join the mile high club
I'm no fool I know money can't buy me love
But I'm a different type of nigga that make sure that you know
Instead of a rose, there's a hundred dozen of those
See I see somethin special when I look in your eyes
With your legs way back I see this pussy is mine
If you ain't sure when I'm talkin I don't tell you no lies
But there's things that you say that have me wonderin why
When I don't say what I'm thinkin it don't mean that I'm shy
Got on that shit you picked out for me that's why I'm so fly

[Verse 2]
While you in your bubble bath I'll come wash on your back
When you puttin on your lotion I can help you with that
I sit and think of things to say that may make you smile
Or give you gifts from my heart to reflect my style
Or slang I use when we build may change how you talk
And if I'm focused while I'm strokin I could change how you walk
There's a swagger that you calm but when you come from New York
I'm a hustler I just hustle in the things that I bought
Separate me from the rest, I feel like I'm the best
If there's a price to pay for feelin you I pay that twice
I'm as ghetto as it gets girl you know that's right
I ain't got nothin to hide baby I tell you my secrets'
Fore you end up bein 'round long enough to peep shit
I get closer to you, I mean closer than close
I get into you, after I take off my clothes
Girl I been into you, mentally long before

Diary: Late

Congratulations: To my brother Alex who has just passed the entrance examination for the Gajah Madah University in Jakarta. He will be flying in September soon. I’m already missing him. I’m happy at least he is following his ambition. How many of us say they are doing what they wanted to do from the beginning. I hope he makes his negative advisers to shame.

Birthdays: Happy Birthday to Lisa and Lil Michael, who so happen to celebrate it on the same day. Wish you many health, wealth and most of all happiness.

Ironic: I got some bucket load of DVD’s over the week and most of them had the stop piracy advert on them. Don’t you think it’s ironic?

Work and lil bit more: Had a short working week as I was on leave on Thursday and Friday. I took my aunt shopping around KL. There were loads of things they wanted to get. DVD’s, an I-Pod (GOD that’s massively expensive), souvenirs and loads more. It’s been a long time I’ve eaten at the Lot 10 food court its nice to know nothing much has changed. The food is as good as it was back then.

It was also ages since I’ve been to Central market. It does bring me back to the days of Kasturi tuition. Skipping class watching a movie in REX… hehehe. It’s about time Central Market had a face-lift and part of it is being restored. There is an Indian wing in place. Sell stuff, which you might get in Kazanah but in a much cheaper price.
The family and I were in klang last Saturday evening to send off Aunt Irene and Aunt Susan. Kelvin decided to buy dinner. There were Hokkien noodles and fried rice, Ikan bakar and home-made taufu. I think my grandmother is going senile. The things she say now doesn’t make sense. But then again she is 70

Diary: Time Draws Near

Work: My World Cup Project now draws near, what began in mid of Dec now nearly comes to a finish. Wow, this is the longest and the largest project I’ve ever managed. I must say it was a team effort. Being Maxis and all there is still things that needs to be done. Besides Maxis I’m also concurrently managing M1 World Cup WAP Quiz. They launch on the 5th June. I’m planning to take the team out for lunch as a thank you and a job well done. All of them need a good holiday. I’ve gotten management to agree to give them travel vouchers worth RM800. As a lil thank you.

Loads of people from the other department are inquiring to join my department. They is actually need for this but I just don’t have the space to accommodate them. I hear rumours that the company might be seeking space in the new KL Sentral building. I’m hoping the content team gets moved there. I’ve told Lester that I wanted to be Pixar. You know Pixar is under Disney right? They have the freedom of management to do what they want? And I want that. Lester has agreed to it and says he will look into it. Hmmm I can picture it now my own office….

Weekend: I spent the weekend on a training seminar. The title of the seminar was ‘Voice of Leadership’. It was to teach us to be leaders. The seminar was sooooo boring. I caught myself sleeping so many times. His answer for explanation was go look into the Internet. GOD! ! ! We didn’t pay him that much to tell us to go to the Internet. Nevertheless the food t Armada Hotel was quite good. On Sunday they had this amazing dish called ‘roti canai durian’ it was heaven, every mouth full of heavenly bliss

I was the tourist guide for my Pakistan staff. I brought them around time during the evenings of my weekend. We had dinner at Mandarin Oriental at a Chinese Halal restaurant. On the companies budget of course. Its very posh place I must say, I felt a lil out of place.

At night we headed to 1 Utama for late night movie. They treated me to a Golden Class show of Da Vinci code. It was my 1st time watching a movie in Gold Class. A ticket cost RM40. I thought u get all the drink and popcorn u want but that’s not the case u still had to but your own popcorn and drinks. The seats were very comfortable. They were lazy boys. So u had to do a Chandler and Joey thing… and it did feel that good.

Note: I really miss hanging out with my friends I apologise for not meeting or not calling u back. Work is taxing…..

Diary: I'm still alove

Stroll back in time:
Last couple of weeks my colleague handed me a historic CD. He handed me the full 93-minute match of the 1999 UEFA final of Manchester United vs. Bayern Munich. It was the year Manchester won the tremble. It was an amazing sport story. Bayern scored in the first five minutes of the match and then they hold their ground till the very end. As Manchester United fan by the 85th minute you begin to lose hope. Alex Ferguson makes his 1st substitute, he puts Teddy Sheringham in and he scores within minutes and now everyone thinks it will have to go to extra time, but before that 3 minutes is added to the clock. Ole Gunner Slockjear comes in to replace Andy Cole. An in the 2nd minutes of stoppage time he scores. And we win the title; we lived up to his name as Babyface Assassin. Amazing how we won in mere 2 minutes.

I was near SRI MURNI last Saturday. One of my colleagues got married someplace very near to that school. Its amazing how they place has not changed for the past 5 years. It’s still the same hot lil place I know
Work: I’m so caught up with work that I have no time for anyone now. Everyday I come back at 10 at night. I have unhealthy meals. My so-called girlfriend is pissed off with me cause I don’t spend enough time with her. I think I’m not cut off with relationships. I always choose the wrong ones for me. All the free time I have I just want to sleep. Sorry for those I’ve not returned your call. Most likely I was asleep at the time

Diary: Break

Hey Guys,

Life: Its been too longs since I’ve blogged anything. There are good reasons behind it. One, is that I’ve been working hard of the Maxis World Cup project which is set to launch on the 17 May. Officially Celcom has lost the World Cup Media war as Maxis has bought the rights as the official TV sponsor for World Cup 2006. But must say Maxis have been suckered by one of their 3rd parties. They claim having rights for World Cup contents that could be used as official downloads. These pics are the same ones that Celcom is using for their 100 Years World Cup Campaign which you will see plastered all over town.

Besides having a busy schedule. I’ve managed to snuck a small holiday. The company had the annual company trip this year on the 5-7th May. This year was at Langkawi… the land of cheap booze. Yes we were massively sloshed. What was fun was renting a scooter and driving it the whole of Langkawi. Sorry I’ve got NO pictures to share with you. My camera has spoiled and I couldn’t borrow one in time. Langkawi food was not that great except for this place called Wan Thai. The food was excellent. Also I’ve got ghostly stories to share for those who are brave enough at heart. The island is spooked I tell u.

Science: Yesterday I was watching National Geography and they had one of my favourite topics, the GREAT WHITE SHARK. A surfer was attacked by 2 great white; the question was why he was picked among the rest in the ocean surfing at the time. After that ordeal another shark attached him again months later at a different town. What attracted to target this surfer? There were 2 answers to that. 1. He might have a strong electromagnetic pulse discharge which attracts these beast and 2. Could be because he peed too much in the ocean and the shark caught his scent. So next time you’re in a shark-infested ocean do not dare to pee in it

Diary: Its That Heat

Nothing much to report this weekend. But I do lil to speak about humbleness. I guess I’ve forgotten how to be humble and moderate. There was time where if my shoes were torn a little I would just throw it away fixing it was never on my mind. Now being my budget is much more tighter you look for ways to make things last. Over the weekend I had shoe problems all the shoes I owned gave way. Obviously I couldn’t afford new pairs of shoes so I headed to the cobbler in the Mall. The shop was closed. I had no idea where else to go. So I headed to Chinatown, there are so many cobblers there. I got my shoes glued and stitched at a very reasonable price.

As I was near Chinatown I decided to take liberty of the occasion. Mum went around shopping for a new belt and I looked for new CD’s. I got some old favourites like Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole. But what I really thought was a prize was getting the new Sergio Mendes Timeless album. I recommend to all who likes Samba… its modernised Samba. For those who’ve seen the Nike Brazilian advert where the whole team shows off their football skills the music behind is from Sergio Mendes and Black Eye Peas.

Diary: Farewell To Friends and Judas

Personal: Nothings happening…. Nothing you guys should know about anyway. But this weekend will see the departure of 2 of my best friends. Yoges will be leaving to greener pastures, he be in Singapore. Now I’ve got a reason to go to Singapore. Another friend I can’t mention. He’ll still be in KL but he parts for other reason. I guess we’ll see each other if out paths cross… Good Luck to both of you. All the best. I’m proud to be friends with you.

Work: Hectic as always, the time to launch Maxis World Cup draws near and I’ve not begun anything. There are loads to do. Its nice to know that I have a long break as 1st of May is Labour Day and on Friday I’ll be flying off to Langkawi for the annual company trip. Loads of planning have been done, very attractive Lucky draw prizes. Holiday Tours have given us a prize where winner gets to stay at any hotel in Malaysia for free.

Spiritual: Oh Boy, they found the Gospel of Judas. For a man who betrayed Jesus isn’t Gospel (Holy Book) a wrong word to use for it. I can’t wait to see what Dan Brown (author of Da Vinci’s Code) can do to exploit the Judas Gospel. For the benefit of those who have no idea what I’m talking about here here’s a short brief. Jesus had 12 disciples and one of ‘em was Judas. He betrayed Jesus for 30 silver coins. We know all of Jesus disciples have written about him and they only found Judas Gospel recently in a Cave someplace.

In this newfound Judas Gospel, he writes saying that he and Jesus was very close and that he was in-trusted to sacrifice Jesus. My question here is if he was so close to Jesus why wasn’t he chosen to lead the disciples, why Simon-Peter? Did the guilt of his so-called sacrifice made him to commit suicide after betraying Jesus? The documentary also said that everyone wrote at that time even Mary of Magdalene which again makes me wonder, If everyone wrote a ‘Gospel’ why cant we find Jesus own Gospel. He must have written too don’t you think. If Jesus wrote I think that would mostly clear out doubts and man would not have to assume what meant.

I thought some more. The Gospel is like their own Blog. Everyone has their own perspective on things. In the bible our of the 12 disciples only 4 became Gospels why? Because they wrote very grandly about him where others just wrote as if he was just a mere man. And there are 4 sides on the cross and as to there be four sides to the world (North, South, East & West).

So how does this affect me, well not much actually? Did Judas betray him or not? Who knows, it happened 2000 years ago. But I think what matters was the end result. For those fortunate enough to have seen South Park there is an episode that gives a message that says, ‘… its not important how he died but how he lived, its by the examples we were to be lived by’

Weird: We’ve see so many American testimonies on TV where people claim aliens were in their bed room and they couldn’t move. Well they’ve got a logical answer to that. In a university in Japan a professor has found out this (explained in Mark’s understanding). When your body sleeps what it does is it disconnects your important nerves, which helps you by not acting out your dream. For those unlucky ones, sometimes you wake u but your body has not re-connected back to these nerves thus the feeling of immobility. For the part where you see aliens next to you, the brain gets screwed up and has hallucination. When they did an experiment in Japan the contestant saw a lady (like in the RING) with a torch in her hand. I think its quite logical don’t you think?

Ramblings: I know this week’s entry is lil long. But tell me this. Why when a woman goes steady with a guy she tries to cut him of from his mates? Anyone??? I’ve got friends who apparently cant hang out with me for a meal anymore, don’t even care what time of the day. I hate the guilt when they tell me they had to argue with their partner to have a couple of hours alone just to hang out with me. Ladies just get it in their thick heads; they need sometime apart from you. Which doesn’t mean he is leaving you for good? He just needs to let out steam by bitching about u, work, etc. I know it would be ideal if he shares with you EVERYTHING but there are things he just needs his man… not to sound gay or anything. For those woman to have their men on a leach why don’t you give them a lil slack, lengthen the leach a bit. Do your dog… I mean your men good.

Accident: One of my close friends recently met into an accident. She was driving in her newly painted Waja when a truck hit her from the side. Luckily she survived the accident but she did sprain her hand badly. Her car, I believe is partially wrecked and I expect the lorry drivers company will be getting her a new car at least. If they didn’t I would like to advise this friend of my to press charges on the company for negligence. To my friend out there whom I know is definitely know is reading this, I wish you speedy recovery I would love to send lilies to you heart but I have no clue where you leave.

Death: Last Tuesday, my uncle passed away, it was Kelvin’s dad. The service was held in St Ignatius church, which is located in Kelana Jaya. The man passed away from a heart attacked. I came to the funeral as a friend not on the right of a nephew. We have no right to judge a man but what I knew is his believes and acts were against mine. I was only there to give Kelvin support. (If your wondering where is the second death I meant the death of Jesus Christ)

My Birthday: Would you believe I had 5 birthday cakes this year, it’s amazing. Lets count them down. My birthday celebration began on Monday where my closest team took me out for lunch in Kiwi and we cut my 1st cake. It was one of those cream sponge cake with fruits on ‘em. On my birthday my girlfriend (2nd Cake) got me an American chocolate cake and my mum (3rd Cake) got me this Chocolate Fudge cake. The day after my birthday, another office staff (4th Cake) of mine got me a homemade chocolate cake and yesterday I cut which I hope is my last birthday cake (5th cake). We got a chocolate banana cake.

This year I didn’t wish for anything. Why cause I think I have all I need. Good friends (although one is leaving soon), an OK family, a real good job, and a girl friend. What else would a guy like me would ask for. A car! ! ! ! Working on it people.

Work: Believe it or not I’ve not been doing actual work for the past week. I’ve been in meetings for the who week. So clearly I’ve got so much pilled up work and I have no idea how I’m gonna finish all of ‘em. Looks like I have to come to work tis Saturday to finish everything… Bummer

Easter:
This week everyone married to the Patrick’s gathered to Klang for the annual Easter gathering. It was a potluck function so mum made prawn sambal, Prema made pork vindaloo, Uncle Tony made chicken curry, Aunty B made her assam pedas and my grandmum made some new Indian dish it was egg halves with some kind of sauce on the top. Food was not like Christmas dinner… oh I love Christmas dinner. Strangely the food was quite bland. Lil Michael was there and I must say his voice is changed I think it cracked. He was back to his lil mischief again tiddle taddling on everyone of us who bullied him. It was a fun outing.

Diary: So Far So Good

Work: Oh God where to I begin. We are already going to finish all of our Maxis World Cop 06 projects and it’s going to be time to reap the rewards of it. As usual Maxis is making last minute changes to their system. This Saturday and Sunday was my second Sales training session. They made us take a test to see how great of a sales person we would be and apparently I came up tops… hahahaha now my boss got to give me a shot. That’s after I sort a successor for my team. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this but I’ve just got my 1st client Joey Yap (Lillian Too’s arch enemy) and now and a graphics company. I’m on a roll baby

Personal: Love life’s ok I guess taking it very slow. I’m not really sure myself if this really what I want. I played host to my Thai staff who were down for the sales training. I we headed to Poppy where Mel and Yoges were. We danced the night away. Sharon was there too. She obviously snubbed me. Guess she read my blog … hahahaha. But her friends were very friendly and I danced the away with all ‘em (Ladies only). The party ended at 4. God the next day at training was so hard. I only had less that 2 hours sleep. I practically crashed once I reached home.

Spiritual: It was Palm Sunday this weekend. I attended mass in St John’s with my mini palm. It’s my favourite time of the year except Christmas of course, I guess its because of the palms we get to carry and you get to act out the passion play. I like saying the world ‘Crucify Him’. I don’t condone the act but it’s a nice world to say. Say this out loud… GOOD GOD, THE LORD WAS CRUCIFY AND NOW WE STAND TO TESTIFY…. Yeah ! ! ! - That’s sound so good

Diary: A Flirt, New Contacts & A New House

I love flirting; I think it’s the best part before a relationship begins. It’s where you sell yourself nibble by nibble. If you think carefully its more to the lines of Human Marketing (not talking about prostitution here). If you look at I closely this is the point where both parties sell themselves. Some choose false advertising and some withheld information. I try to tell the truth, I’m still flirting with the nameless Malay girl. I kind of like her. I know it won’t last but I like the attention very much and this Malay girl apparently seems wild she has a biting fetish… hmmmm. Too much info there I guess.

This week I’ve noticed that my team mates aren’t quite happy with me I wonder why. But I’m no situation to make everyone happy cause I think I’ve done my very best to accommodate everyone. So here I am now making a stand as a Manager, if your not happy either you deal with it or I’ll take your resignation with no hard feelings. Also this week it was my 5th year with AKN Messaging Technologies. Can you believe that! 5 years ago I was a mere system operator and now I’m a Content Manager. I’m proud of myself.

I was on leave on Friday, Great News to tell you guys. Those close friends of mine would already know but to the general public who reads this blog wouldn’t. The great news is I’ve bought a house and I’ve just put in 10% down payment on it. This is after consulting my feng shui almanac to get the proper time to do so. I saved very hard for this so after April you will see a very much budgeted Mark cause he cant afford his current lifestyle no more. After settling that I was in Midvalley roaming, I watched V for Vendetta which I thought was brilliant and thought provoking. Oh yes, I forgot something important. I went to the optician to get a pair of new glasses but I walked out purchasing a glasses and wearing contacts lens.

Yoges I know your laughing now, remember the time I pretended to put one on, I was hopeless. The optometrist was very kind enough to teach me and most importantly patient on how to put them on and take them off. God, I should have done this long time ago. What was I thinking? It feels a lil awkward though I catch myself trying to straighten my glasses when its not there. I’m getting used to it, it’s amazing how the world is so clear now. Now I can look down without fear my glasses would drop or better still I ca make out without my glasses getting in the way jut like GOD intended. But I think the sales lady was cruel she waited for me to purchase the glasses before she handed me a free trial pair of lenses. Now I’m in a predicament to get the lenses as well which only cause me a mere RM152 for a 7 month pack.

While in Midvalley I saw real nice ties in Top Men, I saw these silver floral ties which I liked very much but it cost RM60. Now I’m no budget so I’ve got to be very careful what I spent on. Hey lil hint… Birthday present. Being naughty ain’t I. I sent 15 ties to be dry clean while I was in Midvaley. It was quite cheap it only cost me RM50 and the outcome was very much satisfactory. At night I hanged out with Melman we talked allot its been a real long time since we hanged out. We ate at Chilies and the later played pool. We watched V for Vendetta. It didn’t matter I’ve already watched it was more for the company. It was funny that we nearly slept off in the cinema as we were all tired.

Diary: The Brother Did What ! ! !

Many weird and great things happen over this week. One of ‘em was Shari came for an interview at my company. I interviewed her, it felt so very awkward, and I was trying to play the strict interviewer but I desperately failed. I kind of know now why Shari has had a bad run with interviews. She kind of stinks, So Shari if your reading this call me up and lets meet up I’ll give you a few pointers, which you desperately need.

Over the weekend I had a date with a nice lovely Malay girl. I can already hear the thoughts in your head. “The brother is whacked”, “The fella promised he would never fall for a Malay girl”… Is that what your thinking or are they any more. Well, here’s my explanation, not that I really owe it to you all anyway. Well there is a saying the more you fight something the more your destined to find yourselves with it. As such I thought why not just embrace it if it happens so be it.

Besides I need to enter the dating scene again, my friend’s aint helping me anyway. So the date was in 1 Utama on a Saturday it was dinner at Itallianiese and then a movie. Dinner I think went well, we exchanged stories we laughed and we talked some more. The food was quite bland, but the stuffed mushrooms still as exquisite as the 1st time I had it. After dinner we headed to the cinema, we watched a Malay movie (duh!) Persona Non Grata staring Hans Isaac and Erra Fazira. It’s a nice movie I must say, great photography and story line, something different. Hans (Ben) is a criminal who flees to Bangkok for double-crossing somebody and joins the triad in Bangkok and jack cars. Erra plays Hey (The 1st word she hears) a woman who flees to Bangkok when she finds out her fiancĂ© is having an affair with an ugly aunty. In Bangkok she meets in an accident and loses her memory. Ben takes care of her. And so the love story begins

After the movie we said our goodbyes I took the cab back. I thought about the date, naaah I’m not going to see her again. She is not my type we really didn’t have anything in common. She was too Malay and well me, I neither here nor there. After a long hot shower I watched some late night TV, thank you Astro for the gift of 24 hour TV. I watched a Tamil movie till early morning.

I slept in on Sunday, I woke up only 10.30, and only my dad was at home. I did my chores early, as I needed to attend mass in the evening. It poured heavily in the evening. The fear of another flood was in every one mind. Mass was as boring as usual, and the church was empty, very few numbers.

Congratulations to my brothers who I think did amazingly well in his STPM. He got 2 A’s and 2 B’s. The dream of being in the medical line is not yet over. I guess he has set a very high benchmark for our family to follow. He’ll do us proud....

Diary: Trouble Days

Firstly I like to apologize to those who have been trying to contact me on Friday and Saturday but couldn’t. And here are my reasons why. On Friday I dozed off on the couch only to wake up at 3 in the morning and on Saturday it was a classic case of my battery died and you couldn’t reach me. Last week has been very taxing on the content team. We are still short handed. People apparently don’t need jobs these days… What’s more sad is I can see my team cracking under the pressure and I can’t do anything to stop it. Last week I had attended a business seminar in Armada. It was held on Saturday and Sunday, initially I was bumped out as I though there goes my weekend but after joining the seminar it was kind of refreshing to learn stuff and now I’m much more knowledgeable.

After the seminar on Saturday and some of my colleagues headed to Serendah for Marina’s wedding. Boy, was it so far away 63km we counted. Marina looked lovely as always. The wedding food was so good especially the daging rendang. On Sunday I headed to Petaling Street to get some CD’s amazingly they have really old collections like ABBA, Barry White and Earth Wind and Fire. Whatever happened to Juelz Santana and Chris Brown?

Diary: Party ! ! !

Work
World Cup is already showing of its ugly head in my company, don’t get me wrong World Cup is an amazing tournament but the people holding the license in Malaysia are just asses. Heads up there will be a BIG competition with Celcom and Maxis when the World Cup closes in. Both parties have much tom prove. Maxis soon advertise my 1st World Cup project on the 10th. This of course is a rush job, as Maxis people couldn’t just make up their mind on what they truly want. And what was worst our Maxis representative has a problem saying no to Maxis and when he decided to take a stand it was the wrong one. He nearly cost us a loss of huge amount of money.

Personal Life
I finally got the dinner jacket I’ve been looking for from Zara. Now I can strike that of the list of things that I want. Last week saw me easing back into society. It began with Odelia passing my name card to a girl I have a crush on. This girl works in Seimens and has lunch at Commons everyday. I have no idea how she got hold of my name card but I was quite embarrassed

On Friday I was suppose to party with Melman in Zouk but due to circumstances we were back at Thai Club celebrating Esther birthday which none us knew of. Melman came with his friends. There was one point of the party where I was left alone to mend the table and of course I was dancing alone like a fool. I did question myself what am I really doing here. Nick being a romantic celebrated his girlfriend’s birthday in style. He got her I think 200 roses, it was huge. He also got her a cute doggy cake. Those two really look good together. I was surprised to meet yogi at Thai club; he then invited me to Poppy and I honestly ditched Mel. I know it’s a bad but you got to do what you got to do. I sense Mel is changing for the better and I wish him well.

(Contents may be exaggerated to my liking)
Now Poppy was a whole different scene, you could smell the seductivity in the air, the crowd was a live, the woman was more appealing. I hanged with Yoges and Raj. It was my first time drinking Dewars I think. Yoges group had some hot single woman looking for company. We danced the night away, the party ended at 6am in a coffee shop in Jalan Alor. What was great about that night was not just the ladies it was that I spoke to Yoges. Its been a along time we hanged and talked… just talked. It was great.

On Saturday I woke up disorientated, at about 11. I was to meet Kelvin at Sg Wang at 12. I got ready got myself some excel to help my dehydrated body. I must say my brain wasn’t really with me. I got a huge load of DVD’s and then it was lunch in Secret Recipe. I had the Irish lamb stew. It was quite nice. After lunch I headed back home, I needed to more sleep. I woke up around 8-ish. I was off for another party. A private one, a ladies party and I was the only guy in that party. I love the attention. There was a point I thought I was a stripper…

Next day I headed to church to wash my sins away. It was just the 3 brothers attending mass. We sat at the back, it was fun. Why? Cause we were together. You cant hardly see us 3 together except for obligation days. What was more fun was before the mass ended the temple across St Joseph’s church had some kind of procession and they stopped for sometime in front of church. They were playing the drums, which the Indian part of me couldn’t stop shaking to the beat. What was funnier my 2 brothers were dancing to the beat. That’s in church. I know, we are going to hell.

Ramblings
Last couple of days I dreamt of a coffin and I knew who it was inside, it was a close friend of mine. One of my friends gave me this web site to see what it meant. I thought it was weird of me to dream such a thing so I gave it a go. Apparently the coffin represents the end of a relationship. It doesn’t mean death but it means that the relationship with the person has come to an end. So to that friend so long and God Bless.

Obviously after this matter it was only normal to thing about funeral. How would you like to have your own funeral? Yeah you wouldn’t be there to enjoy it but I bet you’ve thought about it some point in your life. Well let me share you mine. When I die I would like my friends and family to please dress up well for my funeral. Asian funerals are so lame. Please do Black and White if possible. It’s the best thing you can do to send me off properly. In church I would like the entrance song to be Sergio Mendez. –Magdalena. You guys don’t have to sing let the music play. Id also like a small eulogy, yeah you guys know I’m lil vain.

I would like to be buried when the priest is done with his rights I would like Snoop Dogg’s – Next Episode be played in the cemetery while you leave. Something that I guess would uplift the spirit. Something for you to talk about while you leave.

Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell is famous for American Idol or Pop Idol/X Factor for those living in the U.K. He is responsible for many talent some of them would be Westlife and now his new favorite IL DIVO. Simon is a smart man; he made Westlife popular by getting them to sing past hits song in their own rendition. If you look at most of Westlife’s song list I guess 80% of hit are remakes. Now with IL DIVO he uses the same method to make this group popular but with a twist. Use a foreign language; the public has no clue what they singing anyway. All Simon had to do was to find 4 mannequin-looking guys with good opera voices and make them sing Un break My Heart by Toni Braxton, that woo-ed the crowed.

On the other hand on the American Idol, for those who have been watching tis season (A MUST WATCH). Simon is definitely setting the bar high for the contestants and I agree with him. All the contents needs to stand out as this year we do have the finest crop of them all. I’m rooting for the ladies especially for Lisa Tucker. Her voice is amazing.

Diary: Whos Money Is This

Last Saturday I was shocked to a HUGE amount of $$MONEY$$ in my account. I have no idea whose money it is. Its definitely not mine. I couldn’t go to the bank cause I didn’t have my bank book with me and I don’t know my account number. I’m planning to keep in there till end of the month if no one takes it back then its mine.

I was in KLCC on Saturday, I’d didn’t want to stay at home although my flu hadn’t gotten any better. I first paid my maxis bill which was about to hit the limit, Maxis has some kind of party but it wasn’t really my scene after maxis I headed to Best Denki to scout for Marina’s wedding presents. I saw a couple of stuff but I didn’t get any, I headed to the cinema to see what was playing and I was happy to meet Theresa my old Catechism teacher. She was in line; I got her to get me a ticket for Fun with Dick and Jane. She wanted to watch Walking in the Line, the Johnny Cash movie.

We parted separate ways I headed to Chilies for lunch. It was weird that the whole of KLCC was not packed at all. Chilies were practically empty. I didn’t enjoy my food, I guessed because it was the flu. After lunch it was to the movies. The movie was a so-so for me. It wasn’t really that good. I expected more from Jim Carrey. The man looks old and more like Clint Eastwood. It was a good script.

After the movie I walked aimlessly around KLCC. I got some toiletries from guardian and Marina’s wedding gift. I walked in to ZARA and I finally found the jacket I’m been looking for, it was RM 385. On the spur of the moment I went to pay for it on my credit card. It would accept, I had no idea why? I was so embarrassed I walked out of the shout. I did think of using the RM9500 I so mysteriously have but I didn’t I just told myself it wasn’t meant to be now I regret not getting it. I want that jacket. This week I’m heading back to ZARA to get it. Good God let it be there.

I flowed mum to mass that evening, my priest is back from his convention. It amazes me that he thinks we miss him... poor soul. After mass we headed the food court for dinner, as mum didn’t cook anything. Alex and I got nasi lemak mum didn’t want to eat anything.

Sunday, I woke up at 8 for a walk. Sentul’s real quite place although they’re a lot of people. After the walk I headed to the market to get a loaf of bread and breakfast for mum. Sunday was a lazy day. Mum made her famous prawn curry balls. Those things are amazing all soaked up with the gravy just a burst of curry waiting to happen.

Diary: Flu, Flem & Fever

Sorry really haven’t had the time to blog last couple of weeks. I have been really under the weather. It was bad this time, I guess my body is getting an update on its virus pattern cause had the fever, the flu, sore throat and a real bad cough. Work was not that taxing, Lester amazingly understanding, as I am short handed and I was really sick. Interview sessions are going on every single day. It will be a matter of time till I get my new crew. Speaking of that, I’m proud to say I’ve added the term ‘Indians encouraged to apply’ in my advertisement. Trying not to be a racist or anything but if you look at the classifieds it always say Malays or Chinese encouraged to apply but never Indians. As such I was proud to me many of hope to be first.

Grease the musical will be in Malaysia in May. I plan to go anybody wants to go with me? To be honest most of my friends are not really into theatrical shows besides the tickets for this is quite steep. Most likely I’ll be going alone but anyone wants company please keep in mind.

CSI: Las Vegas is back with a brand new season. Warrick is married (Surprise! Surprise!), I didn’t know Catherine had a thing for him. I wonder whom he married to… I think this year Grissom will get some action with the new police officer (cant remember her name). Friends are back with its final season; everyone is leaving to do their thing now. Phoebe is married, Chandler and Monica are moving to the suburbs, Rachel’s leaving to Paris to work for LV; Joey is also leaving to L.A (I think). That’s how you break the group up…. Sigh. What will we do without Friends? It’s so into our system that we are able characterize others or ourselves to the character. How many of you have said these words… He’s like Chandler? Or worst still she is as weird as Phoebe? What I’ll miss most is actually the theme music. You can always catch me singing along to the theme, after 10 years its still is catch as it 1st played.

Talking of sitcoms I must give my kudos to 2 of the local series one has to be kopitiam series, I’m talking about the early years of Kopitiam before Joanna Bessy was thin and sexy. They had catchy theme music as well. The second one is the new KL Night on 8TV. I must say its lil rough on the edges but I’m hoping it will be smoother as the programme goes along. Really depicts the lifestyle of KL people.
