Farewell My Dear Shelly

Where do I begin, Let me begin from the very beginning. When I 1st join AKN Mtech there was one character I was told was the Queen Bitch of the whole office. Her name was Shelly Chuah; she basically operated from our Penang branch office and would come down monthly for the HOD meetings. Those meeting were scary, from out of the door you could here people shouting and mostly it was Shelly. After some time I got promoted to Content Exec and I got news that they were closing down the Penang office and Shelly was to head my department. Boy was I scared of the outcome, loads of people warned me about her. Some discouraged me to leave as soon as possible. We she came on board I guess I showed some attitude and we did have some rough spots but after sometime I noticed that she wasn’t all that bad. She was actually quite cool to work with, a lil pushy but okay. I actually enjoyed working with/for her although people were amazed how I could work with her.

After working with her for sometime we had a Marketing Manager, Marcia Gordon these where the part got started. The 3 of us just clicked. It all began with a stressful work environment caused by SBlim and Marcia’s small gestures of lets go to Chilies to have ‘1 drink’. That 1 drink kind of cemented our friendship. From that day onwards every Friday was a compulsory ‘Bitch session’. We got to know more of each other, the personal side. The slutty side of ourselves…. Hahahaha. We shared kind of everything. Shelly onced asked me a question. Am I with good terms with my dad cause I always keep talking about my mum. That kind of open my eyes, me and my dad never had any conversation or shit.

Last Saturday we had a farewell party for Shelly. Lester, Neil, Marcia, Yasmin, Shelly and myself meet up at TSB (Telawi Street Bistro). It was a nice party the Sambucca kept on coming and by time we know it Shelly was sloshed as she always get. She was flirting around with everybody and dancing her ass off. I’ve never seen her dancing before… ok lah her dance skill ade lah. So The night is going fine till nearing to the end where Shelly gets all cry mode, wishing Marcia and Neil the best. That women was really sloshed hardly could stand if I didn’t hold her. What happen in the end of the night, well I’m sorry I have to with held that information. I don’t want to step on anybody’s feet. But all I’ll say is Shelly you’ll be dearly missed and we wish you the very best in your new ‘kampung’. Love you.

Diary: Busy Days

Hey there it’s been couple of week since I updated you guys with my monotonous life. I’ve been extremely busy with work and been under the microscope from my GM and my operations manager. Many of the office staff are leaving to greener pastures and some not quite happy with management (who’s not). My team is short by 2 staff, as Lenny is taking a long leave to do his own thing. I don’t know but I sense there is some kind of gap between our friendships ever since I became Content Manager. I haven’t had the time to hang out with Mel with my busy schedule. And you can say I’ve avoided Mel a bit cause I can never can say no to his he is is a very persuasive person.I had nice lunches over the last couple of weeks. Oine day, Caroline took me out to KFC with the designers. Another day we had a potluck where everyone cooked a dish and brought to the office. Hasmida brought her famous mee goreng, Michelle brought her curry devil, Odelia brought ghee chicken, Nizam and Marina brought assorted kuih and I got an Oreo cheese cake. Lenny bought nasi briyani. That was a wonderful day everyone was bonding, joking and sharing their stories.

I’ve meet up with Shari for the past 2 Saturdays for tea. Shari is working for the Hitz.fm crew Ford tough enough challenge 7 days a week. I meet up with her because the 1st week I just wanted to loosen up so I went to catch a movie by myselfy at Time Square. Another was I just wanted to to replenish my DVD collection and use the ATM. I talked a lil and we headed our separate ways.

Last Sunday was St Anthony’s feast day and its like a family ritual every8 year to give out bread. Mum prays to give out bread yearly till she dies and he sons are to give them out. Mum always does that. I too prayed to give out some bread just for a lil thank you for my work life as I think I’ve been quite lucky with it. No feast day is complete with out visiting Aunty Emily by the counter. She was handing out coffee, she was quite happy to see me. We had to leave as there was such a crowd. Mass in St Anthony was celebrated outside this time and not in church as apparently the construction besdie the church has made the building crack (3-5 cm wide) and the roof aparently would fall anytime. Constructors has advised that the building be vacated imediately so work can be done immediately.

It was also Fathers Day and we all practically didn’t make a fuss about it mum and dad after mass headed to Seremban for dinner and we were left home, me and Andrew watched Coach Carter on DVD, I took my cumpulsory Sunday nap did my ironing later.

My July weekends too seems to be already been booked with weddings I have 2 important weddings on the 3rd and 10th July. Lot of my collegues are planning to tie the knot and eachtime I ge a wedding card and bring it back home my mum gets on my case. Somebody just should shut that lady up, the comments I get from her, boy your lonely you need someone in your life…. Hai macam lah I tak tahu. Besides I’m not finiding for one cause I don’t really think I have anything good to offer yet. I keep telling her I’m going to be an old spinster which brings her to another fit.

My dad too seems to have picked sides with my mum asking me to join some spiritual crap seminar to find my ‘path’. Apparently my dad had to go to a motivational camp just to marry my mum…. What a L-O-S-E-R ! ! ! He expects me to do the same. Hell no.

Diary: Week

Work has been really taxing as they are too many projects for me and my teams to handle. What makes it worse is that all of these projects have a very close deadline with each other. I have to skip my swimming this week to Mel as I need to run errands for myself. I bet his thinking I’m avoiding him now. The boys are enjoying their holidays real well. Both of them went to see Madagascar with their friends and gave great reviews about it. I catch it soon I hope if all my work clears. Arrrgghhh!! ! and it’s still the June the 2nd another 28 days to go. I got a ‘reminder’ mail from Lester how this month was the end of the quarter and I had to buck up and run a Mickey Mouse department. Ah, sarcasm runs high in this company.

We had a futsal match against Motivator last Thursday at Taman Megah. After a real thrashing 2 weeks back our confidents were up and we learned from our mistakes. We had enough players to make proper substitution. Being a futsal manager is quite fun, it was like playing the computer game. We won 24 – 12, everyone worked well as a team. Our tactics were excellent and most of all we worked as a team. Thiban was practically the play maker as provided all the brilliant passes to our strikers. Lester Scored 10, Daryl, Akrab scored 4 each Zaki and Thiban scored 3 each. Lenny played a good goalkeeper, better the last anyway. After futsal we headed to Ming Tien which was just behind the futsal court. The guys had dinner while I had star fruit juice. I reached home about 12 at night I guess.

Friday as hectic as hell, my phone was acting up again so I switched it off and charged it. As I was terribly busy I totally forgot about my phone and when I switched it on I was surprised to receive and SMS from Maxis saying I had 16 missed calls 10 from Mel and 6 from Kelvin. I so wanted to call them but I was just too busy. Worked finished at about 7-ish and I wanted to sort out monthly bills and not do it on Saturday I just wanted to sleep in. Lenny said he would do my HSBC and I would do his Citibank. By The time I reached KLCC it was already 8.15. I settled my maxis bill and Maybank bill which took longer than I expected because of the queue. I was already hungry, I headed to Citibank. I was tempted to get a Roti Boy but I decided not to. After Citibank I headed back home made a short stop to McD’s and got a Fillet of fish. Everyone was already at home but decided to go to bed early so the boys conquered the TV. We saw Rambo: First Blood, yes old movie but have you seed Sylvester Stalone’s body in that movie peck and muscles everywhere and it had a very hot Vietnamese chick and besides that it was a Macho flick unnecessary gun firing and people dieing, blood gushing…. Do I need to say more?

Saturday I got my hair cut, I just should buy one of those machine and do it myself it would be just much cheaper. Andrew tagged along as he wanted too wanted to have a lil snip, snip. After visiting the barber both of us headed to Sg Wang to get some DVD’s. I just wanted to relax at home and not do anything. I got a couple of titles and headed home. When I reached home it was then a movie marathon, we watched Constantine and Wedding Date. Which after that we had to get ready to go to church. I wore my Harry Who T-Shirt from Kino saw some familiar faces. After mass we hunted down for some sate but I guess all the vendors we taking the holiday but we still manage to find a guy in Taman Dato Senu. I sms-ed Shari while watching the guy do our sate. We chit chatted and we spoke for a while.

Sunday was quite peaceful I guess I woke up watched cartoons and just lazed around the house. Mum and dad were going to attend a wedding in Segamat so they left early. The house was our we watched Oceans 12 and my bro haven’t watched it before. I took a compulsory Sunday noon nap, as I woke up I got the news that mum and dad had car trouble and dad would be staying back in Segamat while mum would come to KL. Mum was like bit sad and started nagging about dad how he did allot of things wrong. We just listened. Mum turned in early as the journey tired her. I watched TV till late night which was disastrous and the next day I woke up late for work. Luckily the office was hit by a Trojan virus and the tech team closed all internet access and no work could be done the whole day. We had endless of meetings which I took no notice off.

Diary: So Long Till July

Hey it was back to work day on Monday, there was lot of issues that needed Marks attention. I’m kind of worried what would happen when Marks goes to London next month. Yes it’s less than a month’s time till I visit the place where I’m supposed to be born (perasaan!!!). I think stress makes me, it felt so good to come back to the office and get headaches and be pushed to the edge of the seat. I will be extremely busy for the month of June and I guess I will have to blow off Mel most of the time. Its going to be hard but it has to be done.

Last Friday I hanged with Mel as we did our routine swimming and Sauna. I talked about many thinks and how my blog got in trouble. Hey I just put the truth in the blog and I sometimes just wonder why the ladies can’t let the guys be. I see most of my couple friends can’t seem to have boy’s night out without their girl friends creating a fuss. I pity my friends sometime. I and Mel headed to Chilies again for dinner had our San Miguel beer and headed home feeling tired after doing laps at the pool.

Saturday, I had to run to Sg Wang to get the Robots DVD for Uncle Tony as we forgot about him when Aunt Irene, Su and I went hunting for DVD. I got the DVD, lunch and I head back home. Oh yeah I got the new Sprite Remix drink which taste real good. I watched the Robots DVD as never watched the movie before and as I predicted it was lame. We headed to Klang for dinner at Tanjung Harapan. Uncle Tony said the food was good. Driving from KL it was quite a long journey. Its actually at the very end of Selangor. We even passed Pulau Indah… hehehe. I hate family trip cause at the end of every journey someone would be angry and pissed off. This times my mum and my uncle and a tiff. Both of this people have high egos so it’s best that they sort it our by themselves.

Dinner actually sucked. Uncle Tony chooses quite bland food which no one really enjoyed and too little dishes. It was surprising that the bill was 300++ for 4-5 dishes. We had Mantis prawns, 2 types of veggie, fried fish and sizzling tofu. See really sucked init. No one said anything. We headed to grand mum’s place to sleep over. Everyone crashed in mama’s house except for Uncle Tony’s family. We played with lil Michael who seems to take quite a liking to me. We sat down told lil stories and put him to bed. I couldn’t sleep that night I kept waking up every hour or so. I guess its not at the comfort of my own bed and I had lots running in my mind. Like Finance

We all woke up really early the next day 5 am I guess, as we needed to sent Aunt Irene and Aunt Susan off to the airport. We all got ready and headed to KLIA. There was a massive crowd. My aunts checked in and we sat down for awhile doing last minute chit chatting and joking around. We then left and we headed back home. Dad made us go to church, which wasn’t in my menu. I was actually looking forward for breakfast. Mass finished at 11 headed to the nearest food stall and got some chicken rice this was lunch. Did my ironing, took my nap. And was ready for work.

Diary: Been Away Too Long Part 2

The week went by as usual nothing much to report but there us two important things that happened 1 was I meet the SEPET guy. I think he works for the Star; he actually looks like a VCD peddler or it could be just me having his face stick to the role. The second most important thing was I got to meet SEARCH, no not the finding panel but SEARCH as in the rock group. I sat next to Amy Search and explained to him how our ring tones and or services worked while Hasmida and shelly gave a presentation. After the presentation I got then to sign autograph my Search album. This is now in the safe keeping of my house.

I’ve been doing the healthy thing by going for swimming and sauna with Mel everyday Friday at my new favorite condo in Mont Kiara. After that exercise we have a nice dinner and by then we are already too tired to do anything else. This by the way is cool by me much healthier than going to clubs and what not. The weekend was a family day. We headed to Klang church 1st to attend the evening mass where it was celebrated by and Indian Priest from India. It was short and sweet, just the way I liked it but just before the final blessing a speech from an old principal was given which talked about how we should encourage our children to be one and the benefits of it. That was a total bore. After the blessing we headed home to be received by our loving aunts

They hosted the diner that night; they bought many dishes for around Klang town everyone was there even Kelvin’s steady girlfriend noted to be the wife of Kelvin soon to be wife. After dinner was where the fun began. It all began with the aunts singing old, very old songs, then after that we all had a sing a song. I sang Search – Rozana which nobody appreciated. They dancing began; no you didn’t hear any 50 cents or Kylie Minogue. It was allows song like La Cucaracha, La Bamba, Tequila, and that train song which The Mask loves to do. After all that we had Indian songs. We all danced the night a way by end of the day we all felt that we had been to a sauna. We ended the night with my rendition of Smoke Gets In Your Eyes.

Oh yeah my dad and Alex wasn’t in the picture at all as Alex decided to stay back and study as his exams are on Tuesday. Dad stayed back because he had some Indian community function he needed to attend. They would only come the day after. Michael was the star of the place as he kept on with his dancing

The next day mum and I got up early to get breakfast. We headed to the market we got some yam cake, char siew pau, siew pau, roasted pork, and some other stuff. Mum made lunch but I wasn’t really that hungry cause of the big breakfast. We then got ready for our family photo shoot. I’ll try to post so of the un-official pictures on the site soon. After the photo shoot we headed back to grandma’s. We had tea and relaxed till dinner time where we had a feast of a meal. After the meal we headed home.

It was Nick’s birthday on Monday, he celebrated it in a Chinese restaurant called the Oriental Maju Plaza located on the 5th floor of Maju Function. I came with Mel and Lisa. I kept joking with Mel that it looked similar too Yong and Dangerous. We made our way into a private room where 3 tables were set. One for relations, One for office colleagues and another for friends. Nick sat with his office colleagues coming over once in while asking if the food was good or not. In my table sat Me, Mel, Lisa, Yoges, Vincent and 3 other Nicks friends. We sat chit chatted teased one another. Apparently the restaurant was a Chinese halal restaurant which is shared by the politician with the bow tie. Dinner to me wasn’t really that great, basic 8 course Chinese dinner.

Tuesday I meet up with Shari for lunch we headed to Lot 10 SFC for lunch and then to Time Square for a movie. We watched Star Wars to me was just an ok movie, all the questions are now answered. The question is when are they going to come back with the 6 disc DVD box set. We headed the Starbucks after the movie for tea where we chit chatted on stuff and after that we headed home. I went home took a short nap which woke me up at 2 in the morning. Wednesday was a rest day I watched the A-Team on TV did lil Oprah watched some DVD’s and all.

Thursday was me playing a tourist guide day. I was supposed to take my UK aunts around town get the best bargain and all. I brought them to Sg Wang, Lot 10, KLCC and Pasar Seni. They bought allot of souvenirs and CD’s. All of them had list so it was easy. I brought them to have Chicken rice at Lot 10 which they enjoyed accompanied with Ice kacang. I guess they had a lovely time and so did I with my aunts.

Diary: Been Away Too Long Part 1

Hey Guys,

It’s been a while since I blogged anything in here. It’s actually a mixture of laziness and business that has prevented me in updating my life in here. Loads of things have happened in the past couple of days. But I’ll just briefly put in the highlights of the past 10 days. I and Mel paid a visit to the Mont Kiara condo again to use the swimming pool facilities. I did a couple of laps in the pool; Lazed in the Jacuzzi did the sauna thing and headed to 1 Utama for a movie. We plan to do the same thing next week as well. Honestly, I never knew a dip in the pool after a tiring day does wonders. I was refreshed instantaneously. After swimming we headed to 1 Utama to get movie tickets to see Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday and we also decided to watch Divergence that very night. Without thinking we bought thickets for it, both of us were extremely hungry as we both didn’t have anything for lunch. Just with a bag of cheesel’s each and a soft drink we went to watch that movie. That Movie stared Daniel Wu, Aaron Kwon and Eking Cheng, my review for it, SUCKED. Story was good by the casting was all wrong.

After the movie we headed to Kawan Lama Corner for dinner as we were practically starving. After that we headed home as Mel had to work the next day. I was so tired after a stressful that I slept so soundly that I only woke up after 11. Its been a long time since I’ve ever done such a thing. Mum didn’t cook any lunch so I had to do my own lunch. I just lazyed around the TV till late in the evening where I got ready to go to 1 Utama to catch Kingdom of Heaven. I was the 1st to arrive so I hanged at MPH scouting around the new arrivals and other titles. I listed them down on my hand phone so I could get them later in Kinokuniya. I meet up with Mel we had to find a restaurant fast as we had to have dinner and rush to the cinema. We choose Chilies where I had lamb, Mel had triple play and Lisa had Monterey Chicken.

After a quick meal we headed to the cinema, the movie was just about senseless killing of Muslims and Christians. Bloom played his role very well but it wasn’t really my kind of movie. After the movie we headed to Mont Kiara Coffee Bean to meet up with Mel’s bro and parents. I had some insurance issue that needed to betaken care of. I find it wonderful how close knit Mel’s family. Everyone getting along with each other so friendly. I had a nice chat with Mel’s mum again. In that Coffee Bean I met Cheryl Samad coming for a drink as well. Who is Cheryl Samad I think you can catch her in one of our famous soaps or go to Watson she is poster everywhere. After that we headed home.

Next morning I woke up early to head to St John’s for mass. Mass was kept by a priest who looked more like a teddy bear, its either that or I was just to sleepy to notice I got breakfast along the way and I met up with my parents in the train station as we were headed to Klang to meet up my Aunts who just came down from London. Yes Aunt Irene is down for 2 weeks. My Aunt Susan is also down. We don’t really see nor hear much of her as she is always with her family. She has 2 beautiful daughters.

As everyone was there we penned down their 2 weeks activities. We had a potluck so they were many dished to eat, chicken redang, beef stew, kicap fish, vege, etc I took a short nap after that and woke up all sweaty. I really can’t take Klang weather is so hot and humid. I had my cup of tea. Did a lil chatting with the relatives played with lil Michael who is getting smarter and smarter all the time. Alex came later in the evening after his tuition class. We stayed for dinner and ate the left over and then we left home.

Diary: 7- 8 May 2005 Best Bday Ever & More

I woke up as usual saw my cartoon then I headed to the Barbers to have a lil snip-nip for today’s party. I headed to KLCC to get some wine where I saw they were having a sale on Champagne I got a small bottle along with 2 fruity wine. I ran a lil errands for myself when it came to lunch time I headed to Chilies to my surprise Sharon was there, Mel told me that she was in Langkawi and unable to make it. I had my chicken crispers and I left back home. I was a lil sleepy, afraid I would sleep throughout the day and miss going to Mel part I stayed up watching Astro.

It began to rain heavily at 3, I quickly called Mel to tell him about it but he was relaxed and happy. He said better now then later. Rain poured till late evening. Mel fetched me at 5-ish and we headed to the condo. Mel’s mum and was there to greet us. We got all the stuff upstairs and began to chill in. I was taking in the sight when Mel handed me a beer, we began to drink early. Lisa was busy doing the final touches for his food. I must commend on her effort she put in for this party, she should be in the catering business. Mel’s mum made some chicken redang and sambal prawns 2 excellent dishes. Nick and Yoges was our first guest to arrive they came around 6-ish. Nick brought his new girlfriend Esther. Nice looking chick.

We headed to the pool area where the party was to be held. Mel and Yoges did the BBQ pit while I lingered around. Looking at the dishes. Lisa made some egg dish, sambal and tomato sausages, lemon chicken, coleslaw, balled melon, fruit salad, etc. We set up the place but the BBQ wasn’t really ready yet. I came over and fanned the charcoal till it was firing orange. They began BBQ-ing the wings. The drinking had officially began every one of us had a can and it was compulsory to either to do a half or bottoms up. I hate BEER! I was the 1st to be thrown in the pool; I knew that was to happen so I brought extra clothes luckily I gave all my phone and keys to Lisa to hold thinking he would be the safest. As they carried me they only thing I ran through my mind please let it not be the deep end and It wasn’t. After me it all began one by one I and Mel carried his brother and threw him to the pool his son cried as we man handled him. Next was Bryan with Mel falling in with him. No one was spared if you couldn’t get in the pool you were splashed with water. Mel’s Mum and Dad was splashed with water. A sneak attack on his pregnant sister-in-law and everyone was drenched. Mel being drunk made us poses in our undies. I’m waiting to burn that picture

I shitty thing happen, Yoges threw Lisa into the pool along with my hand phone in it. Shit I just had the thing fully dry now I had to go back to the whole process of drying it. My phone as usual could not be switched on till the very next day when the water cleared up a little. Till then I was disconnected to world unable to call anyone or received any messages. As I switched on my phone and my messages came through I noticed that the scroll bar was acting up. Dam it now I need to buy a phone….. Currently I’m using the NEC e238 as a standby. Thank you very much.

We swam till 11.30 at night something I have never done before. I’ve fallen in love with the condo. After clearing up the place we headed back to the apartment, we sat for awhile drank a lil wine then we headed to bed. I had the best sleep I ever had in my life. Mel said it was because I was sleeping in a half a mill house. I woke up early the very next day; my phone was out so I couldn’t call all the Mothers I knew to wish them Happy Mothers Day. I also couldn’t call Andrew to wish him a Happy Birthday. I was the 1st to wake up. I enjoyed the stillness of the morning, the peacefulness of it all. The view of the city was majestic. I could also see greenery. I quietly sat in the dining room reading yesterdays newspaper. Mel’s mum wakes up and we both have tea together; we have a lil chat about the places she has been. We talk about Shanghai, Korea, London. Mel and Lisa are asleep. I find myself a lil restless as it’s already 11, then Mel comes out and says lets go for a swim. I agree and we do a lil laps, lay by the Jacuzzi and then we head to the sauna. I’m already in love with this place. After all that I’m a bit tired Lisa and Mel are packing up I sneak a lil snooze. We leave at 3 and head to Mont Kiara or lunch. We headed to Penang Village and had something to eat. After that I headed home.

I did my ironing, soaked my clothes for washing. Watched a lil TV and the family and I headed to Pizza Hut for dinner. I hate doing anything as a family cause you will always come back agitated or angry or both. Pizza Hut was that, I didn’t have much appetite, the service there was horrendous. The staff was lazy inattentive and unconcerned. They never set our table, so we were out of cutleries till the food came which took forever. All I say it was a bad experience which I will never go there again. After dinner I turned in early.

Diary: 5 - 6 May 2005

Thursday was the worst day of the week, it began fairly well actually. Had a nice breakfast with Logen and Daryl. Work began ok but somewhere the second half of the day is where it got bad. Sharon came in asking to do changes for Yahoo content, 300 plus worth of changes I was quite pissed with that. I and Lenny stayed back late night to get that done by Friday. I dint want to work on Friday and Saturday as I already know Melman would need my help sorting his birthday. What was worst I was getting sick? I knew the whole works were coming Cough, Fever, Flu and Sore Throat. I became my own doctor as I took Redoxon as a precaution step for my flu, a small dosage of Panadol for the fever and Fisherman’s Friend for my sore throat. I’ve got to be healthy till Melman birthday. Winnie and Denisa visited us today. Denisa stayed back to have tea with us at Purnama.

Friday I had waffles for breakfast at Commons. Me, Daryl and Logen decided to go for western breakfast. The waffles was excellent, I had it with melted butter and jam. I was happy as it was end of the week, all of my headaches are over Yahoo is completed. Then Hkng calls me to his office telling me Zaki has already promised Maxis something we don’t have any clue of. Zaki the ass wipe has promised a new format which was under a test phase with no positive results yet. He wants all the content to be in the in that format by Monday. To make it worse Kevin is troubling me with his amendments and all. What ever it was I was heading out the office door at 6. I still under the weather, Hkng made it clear that the new format needed to be in place ASAP. He was also pissed that Zaki made empty promises and dint inform us about it. I hate Zaki for doing that all the time. I left office at 6.30; I was the 1st to leave in the batch. I just couldn’t care less about work anymore. I met up with Mel and we headed to Tesco to get some booze for tomorrow’s party. After Tesco we headed to Mel’s place to pick up some food stuff and some other stuff to bring to the condo.

The condo was just located next to the Sunrise Plaza, where PST used to work. The place was highly secured. There was a German Shepard paroling the guard house. Inside was a world of its own. Each building had its own card key for the tenant to come in. We were received by Melman Mum who opened the door for us. Each block also had a couple of trolley for use. We filled all our stuff in the trolley and headed up to the lift, 35 floors up. Melman bro was located at the very top with the most wonderful view of the city. You could see KLCC and KL Tower. We got to work putting all the stuff in the fridge and joking around. Mel’s dad was there fixing the curtain thing. Mel’s mum was very accommodating; she made sure we had something to eat before we left. So motherly, I wished my mum was like that. After stocking up the fridge we headed to the pool area to scout around the party place.

We headed to Kuchai lama food court where Mel treated me to a Crispy Fried Chicken Rice. The place was exactly like Ming Tien in SS2. The food was actually good after lunch we headed to Gopal’s place to surprise him for his birthday. He and Mel share the same birthday date and everyone was eager for his birthday bash and forgetting him. His wife Raveen gave us his house keys and they left for supper we went in with some of his relatives to surprise him. We hid in a room and when he came in to his house we ran out shouting SURPRISE!! ! He was happy… we had lil drink session and some birthday cake and Me and Mel called it a night. It was way pass midnight and Mel wanted his gift, he was like a kid. I gave him his present and it was like the credit card advertisment. His expression was priceless, he didnt expect a bluetooth for his birthday. He was Happy....

Diary: 3 - 4 May 2005

I woke up at 6.30 hoping to catch an early bus, come early finish early. It was an empty city. I reached office 7-ish had breakfast with Logen and Paul. I headed to work and got it done by 12. Everyone was not at home and I had the whole place to myself. I decided to watch a movie which ended up me sleeping on the couch. I got up later in the evening did my ironing and watched lil TV and turned in as the next day was a big day.

Tuesday felt pretty much like a Monday, all my Monday meetings were carried forward to Tuesday. The whole gang was there as we had breakfast all eager for the Liverpool Chelsea match up. Shelly was back, I greeted her with my famous hug. She got me Manchester United Shooter glasses for my birthday. How appropriate. Meeting was ok I guess all my projects are on schedule. Lester announced that the Sales meeting for next month will be held tomorrow. Shit now I have to do the projections and explain why we didn’t hit our target.

Wednesday breezed by the sales meeting wasn’t as scary as I assumed. I guess it was because Lester was happy with Liverpool winning in. Lenny wanted to pay his hand phone during lunch, so we headed to Bangsar unfortunately the machine was offline and he couldn’t pay. I think I and Lenny had an argument something stupid I said made him mad.

Diary: 1 May 2005

Ever had a day when someone says something wrong and just spoil your morning. Well I woke up to a peaceful morning. It was quite early, dad was reading his paper and it was quite and peaceful. I guess both of us were enjoying the stillness of the moment. I was about to make coffee and sip it and go through the morning paper when my mother woke up and standard scolding my dad for not switching the radio on. She said that she likes the radio on a peaceful quite day. The words that she choose made me angry, my dad was silent as I think he is used to mum on his case all the time but I came to my dad’s rescue although he didn’t need it. I told my mum to back off and we were enjoying a quite morning. That led to a big argument of course dad wasn’t really bothered he didn’t say a thing. The argument actually screwed my whole morning. Not wanting to spoil the whole day I headed to Sg Wang to get my cd’s which I forgot to get the day after. I headed straight my shop and got 10 cd’s it was a good offer Rm10 for 1 buy 5 FREE 2.

I headed home assuming mum and dad had left to a wedding but mum was still there all dressed up waiting for dad to pick her up. She was busy body enough to go through my newly bought cd and asked why I never buy her any cd and how selfish I am. I swear to god she must be going under PMS. I didn’t want to give any retorts back to make it worse. I just headed to my room tested my cd’s and hanged out with Alex.

In the evening the family headed to St Joseph church for its feast day. He is the patron saint for laborers. And his feast day is always on labors day. Mass was wonderfully choreographed we had 45 servers, a procession, and adoration. I saw people I knew relatives I seldom see. I got an SMS from my boss saying I had to come back to work tomorrow. Bummer!! !
